Be thankful you cant join the military. Of a 100 people that go in only 10 will leave one day and live productive lives. The other 90 will either be kicked out for reasons, kill themselves or started popin out dependents.

I went in to sign up for the army with the same vision in each eye as you.
I have cateracts and knew ut would be a disqualifier but went in after. When they found out they basically told me the same thing but would put a waiver in anyways.
Took 3 trips to meps but fuck me i was shocked to see the waiver approved
Now just awaiting a ship date.
Signed up for 68w as i have extensive medical background.

Do what I'm doing - Get Laser Eye Surgery. It's expensive as fuck, and traditionally for the military you have to wait a year, but it can be done on finance and you can get a doctor's note to say you're all clear after your 3rd month check up. I go for basic in either October or February, providing everything checks out before then.
I'm not sure about most other countries but UK is pretty relaxed on it...
