There's always time for an unusual gun thread, right?
Neat.
I love unusual guns.
I'm on my phone, so I don't have many to contribute, but I'll share what I've got.

>>30205942
Yes, that's the one. Based off of a Margolin, made for the Soviet Olympic shooting team. IIRC, it wasn't really that much of an advantage, but politics being what they are...

yeah, I wish this was in Fallout 4
>>30206076
What's that?
>>30206112
It's a "revolving rifle" that works by shooting the bullets at an angle into a wide forcing cone and then out of the barrel. As you can imagine, this was a fucking awful design and the guns beat themselves to death in very short order.

Holy fuck being injured by fiberglass anywhere is a nightmare of mine, I remember picking up a old sun-bleached piece off the ground one time and a tiny shard went into my finger as if it was butter.

i don't get it
>>30207079

>>30207108
As the owner of a luger pistol i have trouble visualizing how that thing would work. Is the barrel still mounted to the slide? I'm guessing it didn't work very well since it was never introduced commercially despite beating the Mondragon rifle by nearly a decade.
>>30207108
isnt that a Petersson rifle?
>>30207237
No
>>30207237
if you mean Pedersen Rifle, there is easy way to distinguish it from Luger's.
It's magazine sticking out of the body when in Luger's it's entirely inside body.

Are you supposed to use the magazine as a pistol grip or something? I'm having trouble visualizing that being a viable weapon.
>>30206310
It's a rare modified variant of the Margolin MTs-1.
This particular piece is called the MTs-3 and was modified by K Sheparskiy and used at the 1956 25meter Olympic rapid fire pistol competition in Melbourne. The Soviets took home the silver using this pistol.
It was banned soon after.
Margolin himself was blind, and designed several competition pistols.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MCM_pistol
The much more common MCM model is occasionally found in the US, and common on the European used pistol market.
Although it's now surpassed in the category of entry level 25m rapid pistols by the Baikal IJ35 of which Walther makes a nicer clone called the KSP 200.
>>30209308
No.
It's a Colt Defender Mark 1.
It'd double action only, and instead of the barrels rotating, the firing pin rotates for each shot.
They intended it for law enforcement use since it was compact, extremely reliable, and surprisingly light.
But it was the early 70s and everyone was broke so only very few were made, even fewer were sold.

Wolf Ultramatic. They came in 9mm, .38 Super, .40 and .45. They came in several configurations, SV, like the one shown, LV, and competition versions.
There is no slide, instead it uses a bolt system with a fixed barrel.

We'd usually police up small arms after a fight if we had control of the area. Less likely to be used against us again if we did. Most would get stripped down to parts and destroyed. Occasionally we'd keep a cool 'drop gun' for awhile because it's nice to be able to shoot at hadjis without making it sound like US troops were shooting. In the early days of the Iraq war, M4/M16 gunfire = us and AK fire = everyone else, and the hadjis noticed.
Kept an AKSU74 for awhile, god I wish I could have taken that thing home. There was also a really nice Type 2 AK47 that was in surprisingly good shape for being over 50 years old at the time.

It's referred to generally as the TKB-022 (not to be confused with the TKB-022PM). Yes, you are meant to use the magazine as a grip. Yes, it was awful to hold your hand at that angle and I'm sure it had all sorts of issues with jamming from moving the magazine. There isn't much documentation about it, sadly. Ultimately, it was just an idea Korobov made before moving onto the 022PM.
