Ed's red for cleaning.
50/50 mix of odourless kerosene and automatic transmission fluid for lube. Also axle grease on sliding parts like the guide rails.

CLP blows the shit out of Remoil for effectively cleaning. Only thing I'd use Remoil for (I actually use Hoppes for this, but same thing) is what this anon said >>30168349, exclusively for external finish protection.

Kroil > pretty much everything
CLP for interior stuff. Soak all metal internals in it and it will build up a damn good lubrication and protection from rust.
I use liquid (not spray) gun oils for all exterior stuff just because it wipes off shinier than CLP. Hoppes oil or whatever you have.
Exterior meaning the outside if the frame, slide, bolt, barrel, cylinder, etc.

though, i use g96 on my 10/22; disassemble, spray internals down with g96, let sit, spray out with compressed air. scrub breech face w/nylon brush

Shell Rotella T6 diesel engine oil. Every time. Applied thoroughly with a sock.

over 40 degrees Fahrenheit, motor oil and Axel Grease
Under 40, just motor oil
below zero- cut motor oil with kerosene
There you go, you can lube your AK and run it as it was intended and you dont have to spend your shekels on overpriced gun lube

Most of my guns haven't been fired in about 2 years or so, due to a recent addition to my family. Before that, I don't think anything in my safe went longer than 3 months between cleaning and oiling, and the basement they were in was relatively dry. Moved to a new house, became busy AF, pulled out some guns recently, surface rust just starting on many of them. They were all put away well oiled, inside and out, on all metal pieces, with RemOil. Switching back to CLP (plus I weatherstripped the safe door and dropped a huge bucket of DampRid in there).

Personally I take a media/abrasive plaster and strip everything off down to the the steel and refinish it every time I go shooting :^)
CPL for the cleaning and lubing and light layer of protection, very thin coating of red lithium grease on the action where friction occurs == you are covered and good to go

Mobil1 mixed with lithium grease. If you mix it right, it should look like aids infected semen.
To clean use carb cleaner, after soaking the entire thing in some kind of cancer causing solvent for a bit.

Rate my cleaning technique, /k/. I'm concerned that it's not good enough.

>Wipe with Q-Tips, patches, paper towel
>Try and get all the crud out
>Patch/Boresnake with Hoppes 9 down the barrel
>More patches until it's pretty much clean
