Haters going to hate. GP11 Master race is back. Match quality for the price of surplus

First FMJ cartridge.
>>
Not sure whether to pull the trigger now or wait to see if sgammo or other retailers also picked some up

58cpr is not a bad price
the cheapest I have ever seen was 52cpr from aim

gp11 is simply the sexiest, most well-proportioned cartridge ever to have been made

hands down

prove me wrong
>>
>>30166381
Yeah, but these two stores rape you on shipping.

I've never ordered from them before, but its a little cheaper on Military Shooters LLC
>>
>>30166418
shipping isnt bad if you are buying a bunch of stuff. Looking at the sight you linked it is 5$ more for shipping from lucky or bulk ammo
>>
>>30166118
Too bad the K31 is a $700 gun now.
>>
>>3016652400idh dunno where you're getting 700 besides retards on GB

top kek
the K31 hasn't gone over 400 yet
>>
>>30166488
We most likely live in different states, friend. Military shooters is cheaper over all, which lets me get a full case for under $300.
>>
>>30166567
Where are you finding them for any less? Not trying to argue, just curious
>>
>>30166553
Where the fuck else are they?
>>
>>30166603
Like GP11 they get shipments from time to time. Bide your time.

Also Simpson ltd has a couple. Do NOT get the ones with poor stocks I thought I was getting a deal but it's a fucking mess and no spares stateside.
>>
>>30166603
You're talking to the same people who still insist you can get a mosin for $99

Basically noguns or people who really buy into the memes
>>
>>30166636
No, they fucking don't.
>>30166639
Clearly. It's 2009 on /k/ all day every day.
>>
>>30166672
They were on classic less than four months ago for 350ish, the same shit happens every fucking time look at the Manhuirins they were selling for 500 and got immeatley flipped for 700-1000 on GB.

Sign up for the news letter for Aim, Classic and J&G sales and wait. Or spend 700 for a 400 dollar rifle because your parents never taught you self control.
>>
>>30166596
I see them all the time on local postings / some forums i frequent.
>>
>>30166769
I like how you immediately shift from "they have a few" to "they had some a few months ago" and then act shocked when it's implied that their value has gone up

We aren't dealing with vast soviet arsenals here. There were only so many k31s made. You are right in saying that they get imported in bursts, but with a huge price increase every time.
>>
>>30166826
Their value has not gone up. They have consistently been in the 300-400$ range for the last 3 years depending on importer
>>
>>30166842
That being said personally I do not buy them from importers because the import marks look like ass on the K-11 / K-31. They look so much nicer without the import marks
>>
>>30166842
Yes, it has. Back when they were first bringing these guns over (in appreciable quantities) they could be had for under $100, just like a mosin or an sks. That's not the case anymore, and it's not just due to inflation.

Look what happened to mosin prices, or k98 prices, or sks prices. It's absurd to suggest the same wont happen to k31 prices, and to an even greater degree because of their comparative scarcity
>>
>>30166826
Last I checked Simpson had a few and now they don't I'll admit being wrong on that.

I'm also not surprised they went up in price nor will when the next batch comes in

What I am saying is that if you pay 700 you are a retard that deserves to get jew'd
>>
>>30166769
>Just sign up for all the news letters and refresh your email every few minutes! They totally won't get bought up within an hour or anything!
Ok pal. You sure showed me.
>>
>>30166919
I am not saying that it wont happen
I am saying that it has not yet happened.
K-31's have had a pretty stable price for at least the last 3 years. I am sure they will go up eventually.
>>
>>30166922
Who said I'm paying $700? I said that's the current market price, which it is.

>>
>>30166966
if you are using gunbroker as the market price you are very naive.
>>
>>30166985
see
>>30166987
Why don't you show the k-31's that have sold on gunbroker as some kind of price point. You can try and sell your rebuild M91/30 for 500$ too.
Gunbroker is not a good reflection of market price anyway. You can always find much better deals not off the internet.
>>
>>30166922
I understand what you're saying, and I agree that, while I think they are great guns, there's no way in hell id pay 700 for one.

That being said, your opinion on how much something should be worth has little bearing on how much it is actually worth. If the market price is $700, well too bad, that's what they're going for now
>>
>>30167030
What we are saying is you are using bad data as reference saying that they are worth $700 now. You are glossing over that.
>>
>>30167040
All the data I can see has them going for at least $500. Whether or not people are buying them for that price is irrelevant. If I am a car manufacturer, and I price my cars at $1 million, and they aren't selling, that doesn't magically make them worth less.

So even if nobody is buying the k31s, if they are only selling for +500, that's the effective market price
>>
>>30167091
Except you are not counting any of the datapoints where they have sold for less than 500.
Its like saying i am a car distributer and I price my cars at 1million and dont sell any but my neighbor car distributer bob is selling tons at 500k. Oh the market price is most def 1m because i am not counting any of the other data.

All you are doing is using a gunbroker search. Good for you bucko. There is a reason why they make things like the blue book of gun values which track prices over time.
>>
>>30167124
Calm down buddy, I'm not the gunbroker anon.

As for these data points, you keep suggesting that they are there, but so far I haven't seen anything. Your undercut argument is valid, if there is someone doing the undercutting. If you can show me that, I'll gladly concede.
>>
>>30167161
Well I can take a screenshot showing that the 500$ K31's the anon has been quoting on gunbroker have been not selling for months and months on gunbroker and are auto reauctions....

I am totally cherry picking here but
http://www.gunbroker.com/item/549286472
http://www.gunbroker.com/item/555455569 for the second one take the price of the bayo out and its in the high 300's
And gunbroker is pretty much always overpriced.
I cant really give you the proof you want because its all physical. The best deals on firearms are pretty much never on the internet =/
>>
I just received my second 96/11 two weeks ago. Huge batch on gb, aim, classic, even with bayos, kits, and slings sometimes.

> $450 with shipping

came with cleaning kit and even a bit of waffenfet.

My first 96/11 is a non-marked reciever in a sporter stock that was heavily carved and inlaid (probably by a swiss)

> $125 at a flea market

they'll be back to 300 once the next batch comes through. just like EXACTLY what happened to GP11. too bad i paid a buck a round just over a month ago.
>>
>>30167204
Nah, thats enough for me, I believe you. I'm telling you though, retards will start buying these things for $700, just look at people paying $250 for a nagant revolver.
>>
>>30167263
damn man. Where did you get a 96/11 for 450. Classic had the 96/11 for 300 before shipping like 2 months ago.
>>
>>30167263
Where did you get your 96/11 from, and how is it?

I hope the gp11 stays in stock long enough for me to get paid
>>
>>30167301
I would guess that these guys are just the first to GP11 in. What makes me concerned is the lot date. Its 92. Thats getting close to the end of GP11
>>
>>30167317
It's still in production.
Date is pretty much meaningless when dealing with surplus ammo. Lots are surplused out when there is enough concern about reliablility. Usually this means a certain amount of misfires in tested batches.
>>
I bought a case and enough paper packs to fill up a 30 cal can. I think I've only shot my K31 once since I got it. I should get some more.
>>

961 KB, 2502x1565
Yeah it's back, but I doubt it will be cheap.

It's new production and not surplus.

Over here we pay around 30 Swiss Francs for 100 rounds of GP11.
>>
>>30166987
Except that's the ONLY seller. Aim has none. JG had none. Classic has none. Simpsons has none. Only available on Gunbroker.
>>
>>30167263
>Just wait for the next batch, it'll be here any day now!
Sure it will.
>>
Oh fuck I should have bought one before samco went out of business
>>
>>30166418

i have ordered from military shooters a bunch of times. they are in my state, so i get stuff REALLY fast. good site, but their stock fluctuates a lot cause it is a smaller outfit.
>>
Thanks for letting me know op, I just bought a SIG 510 that needs to eat.
>>
>>30167919
An AMT or a real one?
>>
How should a k31 be cleaned and lubed? I've read the manual and all but I guess i'm just wondering what product to use. It just says "grease" but i'm not sure if they mean the Waffenfett or Automatenfett. I don't know where i can buy that shit.
>>
Here is the SG Ammo link. Be aware that they don't have it in stock yet, nor is the price up to date. Good idea to monitor it if you want a better deal mostly because they'll probably be the cheaper option with cheaper shipping.

http://www.sgammo.com/product/surplus/480-round-case-75-x-55-swiss-gp11-174-grain-ball-type-ammunition
>>
>>30167964
You can just clean it like any other gun. If you want to do it the swiss way, right after you shoot, run a patch with a light grease through the barrel. When you get home, run a clean patch through, then one with grease. If you're using Waffenfett, rub that last patch over the stock after you push it through.
>>
>>30167964
Its standard issue so you dont. Its just a grease with carbon in it. I got half a ton of it but only because Im weapons mech at the army.
>>
>>30168041
At the range when the barrel is hot use the steel brush and grease one time in/ out. Go home, 25x with steel brush and grease. Run patches through until its clean. Regrease with the plastic brush.
>>
>>30168063
*brass not steel my bad
>>
>>30167964
There's nothing special about Waffenfett or automattenfett. Just use a light bearing grease. Really you can use any nlgi 2 grease, but I would pick one with a light color so you don't stain anything
>>
>>30167695
Or you know in gun stores, arms list, local classifieds
>>
>>30168022
It all depends who was able to purchase from the most recent shipment. The two sources listed don't have very much in stock
>>
>>30167283
>>30167301

>damn man. Where did you get a 96/11 for 450. Classic had the 96/11 for 300 before shipping like 2 months ago.

Classics 96/11 got reviews for very very poor stock condition, and shot-out bores.

>Where did you get your 96/11 from, and how is it?

Mine is a Private issue with sharp rifling and zero surface rust (pretty choice walnut as well). Got it from a random off of gunbroker, seems to have nothing in stock ATM
>>
>>30168132
>Gun stores

>Arms list

>Local classifieds
None for months.
>>
>Just search every hour of the day and maybe one day you'll find a K31 that is $450 before shipping/tax! Trust me! Ive totally never done it but nothing has changed anyways!

>>
>>30168177

You must have really shitty gunstores m8
I have 2 in my small city that are devoted purely to milsurp and another 4 that have milsurp. I would say that stores here that don't offer milsurp are outside the norm. Unless you mean like pawnshops. We have a shit load here and they are hit or miss

>>30168204
go bid goy as long as you dont live in MN or OR those will most likely end under 450 shipped.

Many gunstores carry milsurp. the two near me even have K31s in stock. Armslist also has a ton of them. Going price seems to be averaging $400 right now.
>>
>>30168157
Did they scrub the reviews on classic?
>>
Swiss govt promised to UN that they wont be selling any more of suprluss K31 to the US
>>
>>30168440
Nope. There are just idiots at the switch destroying all the grade a weapons in military storage rather than selling. Personaly I already refused to be the Dr. Mengele of auschwitz of this genocide of innocents. Got me 2 days of prison for disobeying order.
>>
>>30168459

Pick two. Anything under 4 is pushing it, below 3 is not shown. You should've seen the shitstorm when they started selling m39s in unusable condition

Officers in charge rather destroy such beautyful rifles (quality never seen in the us) than sell it. Im currently a weaponsmechanic there and a month ago I got 2 days of prison for refusing to prepare the guns for slaughter. Even the law that we can refuse unethical orders did not help me because "destroying guns is not unethical".

that is unbelievable if true. Fucking cunts. I would give anything to find a pristine K31 in Ohio but they are either beat to hell or nonexistent

Most k31 I see are on armslist or other local places. 300 to 450 is the going rate here in northern Ohio.

>$700
>k31
>market price

listen up retards. the k31 has an approximate market price of ~$400 as of mid 2016

themosincrate had a list up just like 2-3 months ago where k31's were selling between 350 & 450 on average with a few at 500 which were exceptional

k31's are not something that you can find in stock everywhere at any time like a ruger, what do you not understand lmao

but the people who are responding are right - if youre using gunbroker to value the market rate, you a certified melon

when the next batch comes through - probably on classic or the like, im sure itll be in the $379 - $479 range, probably 449 as the average for a decent quality find and maybe a few in the low 500's

fucking nogunz
