/k/ommandos, what would I need to make my own set of Skat-9m armor IRL?

Both one that looks about right yet is functional (at least somewhat functional).

I know the gas mask is the XM40, or a M40. The helmet I can get away with using a K6-3.
I probably could come up with something for the boots, gloves, and pads.

Now I'm curious what should I use for body armor, jacket, and pants.

Would the Russian 6B43 with a two piece chemical protective suit under it work?

>b-but anon, you're a delusion loser with a STALKER obsession, you should go to the cosplay board instead >>>/cpl/

Piss off, this is STALKER

I'm a newfag when it comes to body armor, so please educate me.

A lot of the suits from STALKER were designed purely for the game (for the most part, there's a few suits that can be replicated very well, the skat-9m certainly isn't one of them though), so get yourself an industrial sewing machine if you want some stalker get up.

Kid, you're gonna over heat in that lest you're in cold weather, or find a way to cool off.

Looks like motorcycle gear to me which makes sense since that is heavily padded and the fabrics are durable enough to have additional layers sewn into them. If you actually want radiation/bullet protection be prepared for a lot of garment design. If not just buy some motorcycle gear and jerk off in the woods.

It's a damn shame last light ruined the design by making it so fucking bulky
Hell, most the redesigns in that game and redux were way too cartoony, I will never forgive them for what they did to the demons.

I like the idea of combing the frogmen setup with a light exo skeleton then mesh it with some kind of foliage covering. In the water it would be a current speed moving mess of seaweed, and on land a quick moving pile of grass that could cover good amount distance under cover. Enemy soldiers would just be btfo by a hidden exo soldier when they wonder too close to the harmless overgrown weeds.

last light was a fucking travesty. ruined the series. I hate how people actually like it, and even dare to say it's better than the first.

That's what made it good god dammit, in Last Light I could sneak right in front of a guy (like, a foot away from him) and not be spotted because it was kinda dark.

>>Original was too hard
Hahaha, no.
I made it through the orb section with throwing knives almost exclusively, running around to pick them up between orb waves after a dozen tries because despite bringing hilarious amounts of ammo and having a healthy stock of .mil rounds and well upgraded weapons the game still wasn't face roll easy and I was dead in the water by the time I got there the first time.
First shooter in a long while where I had to replay sections to make them go my perfect way.
LL was just bunk in general. A few sections were excessively hard, but there was no sense of reward when I finally bruted my way through them.
>>
>>30164401
People were too stupid at aiming between armor plates on enemies that in last light they did away with all of that. Thats the thing that pisses me off the most.

You could one shot enemies so easily but nope.
>>
>>30162059
i like the metro armor best, the helmet and night vision combo looked good and pretty functional, i wish somebody had the money to make that helmet
>>
>>30164365
Last Light wasn't terrible?
I think aspects of it should have been cut, like the pointless love story and the sudden emergence of shitloads of prewar weapons but other than that i cant think of what was wrong with it?
>>
>>30164411
If anything i think both games needed to be harder, Ranger Hardcore required you to have patience and be a good shot and that was about it and if you got the scoped Tihar in the boxcar and sold all your spare expensive weapons for ammo you were set, by the time finished the game i still had like 600+ of ball bearings and around 200 milspec ammo

Look into cooling shirts. They're basically shirts with tubes that run cold water along your body (but you don't get wet.). They were developed for spacewalks, but work well in any enclosed suit like yours pictured.
>>
>>30164980
Fuck man, the fact that you had to aim for higher-tiered enemies armpits to hurt them was my favourite part of 2033, it was a great feature.
>>
>>30161674

Needs a layer that pumps cool water around the skin like they use for some movie costumes.

Simplest?

Wearing a plate carrier over a light hazmat suit.

That reminds me; I've seen (in passing) some special forces units dedicated to NBC incidents (nuke plants and the such) and I wonder what gear they wear, as normal NBC stuff isn't enough, but I don't see how anyone could fight in those bulky hazmat suits.

NEST teams just wear civilian Hazmat suits. They aren't SOF themselves, the idea is that SOF escorts (wearing their own CBRN outfits) will secure the area so they can work.
>>
>>30161665
You're list probably would work.

You would need.

M40 gas mask
K6-3 helmet
Russian 6B43
Motorcycle gear and/or chemical resistant suit
Cooling shirt
Elbow and Knee pads
Leather gloves
Good quality boots
>>
>>30161665
Wearing gas masks is uncomfortable as it is harder to breath, hotter and kills your peripherals (depending on the visor)
Full MOPP is even shittier.

Something like this, rather. The cube units are heavier and after a few hours they're no good, also heavier and less comfortable. Cheaper though.

The one I linked needs a cooler/pump, but that can be integrated into a small back-mounted unit and, if powered, can be worn indefinitely.
