Broke my Kershaw right before I left for a study abroad program in the UK last September. Bought a UKPK just before leaving for the trip.

Little thing has grown on me, and considering it isn't a self defense tool I haven't found much need to upgrade other than just wanting something nicer. Combined with college poorfag budget... Here I am 9 months later with it.

Next knife will be Dragonfly 2 G10, maybe Kiwi4
>>
>>30163865
(Not him) The only handguns people can have in the uk are cap and ball revolvers. The guy who posted is just using a UK legal carry pen knife for some reason ( sub 3" non-locking blade). However that is just for carry, there aren't any laws on what you can own.

honestly for a GP I'd recommend Galco.
the straps on the custom rig are more durable, and a bit better fit, but they are much more expensive, and even though they said turnaround would be six to eight weeks I had to wait eight months each time.
I only got custom rigs since nothing else would fit the aftermarket grips on the Manurhins, and Galco only makes a VHS for X frames up to a 4" barrel

Volkswagens are trash cars.
They fall apart within a few years.
Buy a Honda or a Toyota if you want something to last.
I'd drove an Accord for six years after my mom drove it for ten years. 238k miles and still ran like a top. Damn thing would still be going if that dumb bitch in the Fiesta hadn't pulled out in front of me (she was cited for causing the accident and her insurance paid out well, so I wasn't too sad)

Me too man. Jetta 2002 station wagon. Mines at 105k. Expect it'll last to 300k. It's been through a lot, including the desert in El Paso which really fucked up the paint, so now the outside reflects the inside. The paint is literally rotting off. It just seems like unless I take it to a dealership, no one knows how to work on it, so it's been a pain in the ass to maintain. Never been about the money, but mechanics act like they're looking at German space magic when trying to work on it.

Pretty sure I'm going with a Toyota or a Honda the next time around.

I'm looking forward to getting stuck on the side of the road thanks to VW craftsmanship.

Hows that torch? Is it reliable? I've seen it around and was considering buying it
>>
>>30164697
I bought one and then had to buy some more. Not because it broke, but because it's actually practical as fuck.

If I'm being honest, I will say that its major drawbacks are that it's not a super bright light, and that most round flashlights will fit a pocket better. If you want to flash something from a couple of hundred yards away, this is not the light for you.

However, if you need something versatile that can stand itself up while you work on something in the rain, or just need an easy way to see where you're going in the dark, it's hard to beat. It's great for camping, and I prefer it to a headlamp as it keeps me from blinding people when I look at them, and I can clip the thing on my shirt or a strap or even my belt if need be.

Size is comparable to one of those packs of women's cigarettes, like Virginia Slims. I'm able to keep both that light and my Leatherman Surge in my front pocket together, and still have room for more shit if need be.

Reliability is solid. Fucking solid. It's basically an evolution of the old Fulton lights.

Advice: There's several models. Get the milfag one. Admittedly, most people won't have use for the IR setting, but the light powers on at dim and scales up from there the longer you hold the power button. The hunter model starts at brightest ans scales down the longer you hold it. It has a green light (why?) in place of the IR.

good pocket gun for summertime carry
like all snubbies it has a short sight radius and snappy recoil, so don't expect to drive nails with it.
I'd replace the rubber grips with something less likely to snag on clothes
also get a good pocket holster like a desantis nemesis
not a good idea to pocket a gun without at least covering the trigger guard

So, not recommended as an every day/main carry gun? I'm turning 21 later this year and can't decide what I want. Realistically, I'll probably just get a Glock 19. I really like the aesthetics of the LCR, which, unfortunately, is its main selling point for me.

I could probably get away with a full sized handgun(6'6", 205), but I think I'd prefer something smaller. Also, yes, before anyone mentions it, I've read the sticky.
>>
>>30165349
everybody needs at least one pocket gun. a single stack 9 or .380, or a snubnose revolver in .22 or .38
that way you can always be armed no matter what you're wearing

bigger guns are more accurate, powerful, and easier to shoot, but you have to dress around them. good holsters are a must, sometimes you'd need a larger size pair of pants or a jacket.

if you've only got the cash for one, get the one you know you'll always carry. the snubbie in your pocket is infinitely more helpful than the handcannon you left at home

J-frame here. It doesn't seem to have any advantages over any other pistol. The airweight is small and the trigger has a long pull, so it's a comfortable, safe-feeling carry.

It was a gift, and also my first gun. They're not as scurry as any other big, black block and that might've played into the choice, so I'd be less intimidated by it. I also think any revolver is the more aesthetic option, but I'm a giant faggot so what would I know.

Glock 26 in my new Galco IWB holster.
Two spare magazines in a IMI paddle, since i dont always carry them.
S&W cheap knife.
Cross steel pen.
Cross leather wallet.
Keys and Seamaster 300m watch.
You can see also my "travel oil" little bottle and a couple 5.56 rounds that happened to be in the box.

Not seeing, since we cannot carry hollowpoint here i am using german Geco 124gr FMJ at 1050-1100fps for the Glock 26, nice to shoot.

In my Beretta 92fs i use a bit warmer NATO spec military 9mm.

I just reread my post and looks like I was drunk and dumb, but I promise I just suck at typing on a phone.

There's no difference, since most of us who are actually mature have a schedule that means we can't stay up at night to post on a Micronesian cave painting blog.

Nigga do you even graveyard shift?
>>

About a week after I bought it right after the new year I popped the rivet that held on the button portion of the snap. Was some POS aluminum thing that couldn't hold up to unsnapping.

Took it down to Tukwila to get it fixed, grabbed me some steel hardware and put it back on (pretty simple fix... Duh) and I was good to go.

Haven't been without LCP or holster pretty much since Jan 1st so I suppose that tells you what you need to know as in... It's good

Is that the one $15 medkit from Walmart? I think I have one of those, been thinking about getting some extra for carrying around in bags and shit.

>>
>>30173822
are you allowed to cc a fixed blade while also cc a pistol?
>>
>>30173849
for Florida it's a Concealed Weapon or Firearm license, so yes, it covers more than just handguns
>>
>>30173783
It is. It's not great, but it's got the basics. If I head to an event or innawoods, I take a larger kit like link related and a set of basic surgical tools.

That's what all the felons in prison say too. How many teeth do you have left?

Good god damn. Not only are you a faggot, but you also have shitty taste in holsters. And you probably have sex with your sister. And brother.

I've seen some cringeworthy faggots on /k/ in my day, but shit bro. You're like what would happen if a bunch of furries jizzed into a cup and the concoction grew into an inbred.

But anyway, Crossbreed is mediocre at best, but charges like they're not. Also fuck their stupid crosses. I'm surprised you aren't compelled to burn them.

Europe. Spain to be more specific.

Is very hard to get a CC license (you have to be a LEO or justify what specific danger you need it for), but not impossible. But no hollowpoints.

Gonna be getting a Glock 17 soon as part of a trade. Well, a 34, and I'm going to try and trade down for a 17. Any holster recommendations for it? I use a shitty Falco vertical shoulder holster right now for my TT33, but I want something better quality.

Also, weapon lights for EDC-worth it or no?

Its the place that issues all military gear to one when they are either active or getting ready to deploy. Those Streamlight Sidewinders are standard CIF issue. Well at least in the Marines they are thats where I found the five that I have.
>>
>>30175728
Ah. In that case, yeah. I was curious if there was a modern equivalent of the old Fulton, and found out the Marines are using these. I figured I'd give it a shot, and if I hated it, I'd just keep it as a curiosity.

Care to add your input about them? Sounds like you have about as many as I do.
>>
>>30175419
holster for a tt-33? You should look at leather holsters for a S&W k-frame.
>>
>>30169731

Really? I've carried it like this for almost 8 years now. I grew up on the 1911, and it has similiar ergonomics, so it just made sense to me.
>>
>>30175807
They are good flash lights. The smaller version with out the body is what I used to keep on my plate carrier. I kept the one shown usally in a old gerber pouch either on my belt or on the outside of my pack.

The IR is actually really good on them for their size. Red and green are nice but the blue tends to be washed out(at least on the ones I have). White light is good as well and I have yet to have to replace the bulb or any of the major parts.

One thing I cant stress enough if you are going to own one is not to fuck around with the wire that attaches the bottom to it. It wont break easy but if you do break it your fucked.

No, holsters for a Glock 17. I'm thinking I'll move to that in a shoulder holster, since I'm used to it already, and use the Tok for alt/winter carry.

As you can tell, too, my TT is kinda beat up. Eventually I plan to buy a second Tok, "retire" mine, and modify the second one to help with a few deficiencies the Tok has, like the shit sights. Then I'll have a custom holster made that isn't shit.
