Why would you buy that
>>
>>30121173
Wanted a 22lr AR conversion kit that I could get reliable mags for. Almost bought a MP15-22 but decided I'd take a tacticool 10-22 instead, as they eat anything. It's night time kill count right now has justified it IMO, and it's fun to shoot in steel challenge.
>>
>>30121224
should have went with a dedicated ar in 22 with a boonie packer mag adapter
>>
>>30121236
I flipped back and forth on what I wanted to do.I do feel this was the cheaper of the routes, as I know i'd put a fancy expensive trigger in a 22lr AR. Right now though i'm quite happy with it.
>>
>>30121266
I built a dedicated upper with CMMG bits and Blackdog mags, certainly a more expensive option, but I get to use the fcg and furniture on my AR lower which is nice.
>>
>>30121266
fair enough
>>30121303
s&w15-22 mags > BD mags
although i do love my dedicated 22 ARs. i realize 22lr isnt the bees knees for everyone but i find it to be a lot of fun

>>
>>30121224
why not just get a 10/22 and make it tacticool?
>>
>>30121303
The other thing that sold me on the tactical 10/22 was that it came with the upgraded trigger pack.

>>30121336
I looked at that option. A good quadrail or drop in stock that I wanted cost as much as i got the SR-22lr for. I wanted
-adjustable stock
>pistol grip
>room for rails for a light
It was 525 with 1 10 rounder, 3 25 rounders, and a 333 pack of ammo.

I'm thinking about buying a m16a1 upper and lower and making a retro m16a1 and keeping the stag arms as it is a 1.5-2moa rifle
>>
>>30121409
Because i can. These things are fun as fuck on steel challenge. I wanted a forward light for night pest hunting. Forgrips are just nice. I almost went with a cheapo red dot and I still might later, but the See-All with the trit insert is just the cat's pajamas in the dark woods.

I love how in the first vid his double tap times speed up. And I'm aware of the fun with 22's.

One of the last times I took my clone 22 m16 out, I took 4 mags and set up 35 clays on a sorta path going up the hill. Kinda pretended to be hickok45 as well as a Vietnam guy shooting gooks at the same time. Was great fun.

I live in Idaho and I've been wanting to build another AR. The thing is, I want to start dabbling in Class 3 shit before the election shit really rolls around. I mostly just want a can, I'm not really worried about an SBR yet. I was thinking vanilla 5.56

At <$500 a Griffin Spartan, YHM Phantom, or Gemtech Trek are about as vanilla as you can get and still have good quality.

For another ~$100 you can get into an AAC M4-2000, Griffin M4SD, or Silencerco Specwar which all have quick attach mounting systems.

Well alright, how does the paperwork go? Do I have to buy the suppressor, then just essentially have it sit somewhere in control of someone legally able to handle it until I fill out the proper paperwork and wait for the ATF to get back to me?

My price range is up to maybe $800ish.
>>
>>30121731
Paperwork is generally pretty simple and a good dealer will handle most everything for you. If you have a dealer in state with a suppressor you want in stock you have the option of setting up an NFA trust, getting it notarized and just make your purchase by July 12th to beat 41F which adds additional steps to the process.

If you are planning to buy from an out of state dealer and have it transferred to your local dealer that adds a form 3 and an additional 6-8 week wait which means by the time it is transferred to your local dealer and ready to be filed for the form 4 transfer to you, you will miss the 41F filing date so you will need to deal with the extra steps of fingerprinting, passport photos, and background check.

If you choose to perform an individual (non-trust) filing, your dealer should walk you through that as well, the extra legwork for you involves getting a sign off from your local chief law enforcement officer (sheriff).

Some states have additional steps that need to be taken, the easiest thing to do is just walk in to your local dealer and talk with them about it.
>>

How'd I do guys?

PSA SS 18" barrel with free float rail, magpul Coe stock, polished trigger. 223 wylde

How do people with $3000 AR setups not know how to clear stoppages?

Was at the range yesterday shooting AKs with a range buddy. Two people with ARs kept getting whole cartridges or spent brass jammed up between the bolt and upper. Neither knew how to mortar the weapon. Neither had so much as a leatherman type multitool. So we had to keep helping them.

as an employee at a range, I'm terrified of mortaring customers firearms. I had one customer with a brand new Daniel and after I told him how to mortar it (without touching it thank god) I saw him leaving the range with a huge ribbon of finish sheared off from him scraping it on the table.

one of them kept saying how he was glad the weapon had a Lifetime Warranty. He has already returned the rifle once because it wouldn't eat and poop properly.

The other guy was using a .300blackout SBR with a silencer and a PDW stock. It kept misfeeding and scraping up all the brass and bullets. I think it was a either out of spec ammo casing and/or a magazine problem.

when the bolt is locked into the chamber with the casing stuck in there, a lot of the time mortaring it is the only solution. Also it looks like I may have been using mortaring wrong. What I normally do is latch the charging handle on the edge of the shooting bench and pull upward.

I've never seen that kind of malfunction ever happen actually. I normally mortar when the casing is just so stubborn that it prevents the carrier from coming back. It's not damaging in the least, unless you're holding your rifle against the edge of the bench like an idiot and dragging your entire rifle along the side of it as opposed to just catching the charging handle with it

Being a loader sucks. I did some time as a loader during peak and watch my guys do it every day and fuck that job. What were the hours there? Mine is dependent, but usually it's 5:30-10:00, which is pretty decent when you consider that I get paid for 5 1/2 hours regardless of how much time I actually put in.

I drive about 40 minutes to work for 4 1/2 or 5 hours, but that doesn't really bother me because I like driving my car. I guess I also get paid a shitload better than loaders, so that's an acceptable reason. Honestly the big benefit for you would've been during season when you could work as a loader and as a jumper and make ridiculous amounts of overtime cash every day.
