That being said, for black bears all three will work fine.

Yes. Though you don't generally want to be standing in the way of thing when you shoot it. Occasionally things will seize up just right and the vehicle will come to a screeching halt, but mostly they just lose power and go coasting off into a tree or guardrail.

It can yes,engine blocks are pretty brittle. but it also demolishes anything else it hits before it reaches the block. Barring something lucky like it ricocheting off the alternator mount or the like it will break something vital to the life of the engine.
Like anything else though it's best to shoot it repeatedly, just to be sure.

Also, black bears are the biggest scaredy cats, it's rare as shit to have to shoot them, they always bluff attacks because they hope it'll scare you off, truth is, if you stand there and don't move, he'll halt right in front of you and now has to think about what to do next (usually running away).
They're manlet bears, like, one that's angry could probably fuck you up, if you went to close to it's kid, but black bear cubs don't quite tempt fate like that so it's easy to keep your distance.
Basically, if you see a black bear, first thing you do is to shout really loud at it if you feel it's getting too close for comfort, it's almost 100% guaranteed to make him nope out and run away

That stand-alone glass is rated higher than the applique stuff. Woulda been nice if he'd said what make/model it was. I do wonder if the weakened glass didn't have a cushioning effect on the last slug, since the material around the POI was weakened it flexed instead of punching straight through. See, when a slug hits something like a thick sheet of cast iron it either punches out a neat, slug-shaped chunk, creates a sharp-edged crack, a folded-in slit or if it hits at an angle it gouges out a trough. When it hits lighter working parts like the condensor, radiator, alternator, water pump, pulleys and all that it tends to really crumple the things and throw spalling and shrapnel around which shreds belts, wires and the like. That's what puts a stop to a vehicle. half a dozen to a dozen 5.56 rounds will do the same, but of course 12 gauge with it's broad meplat can't equal 5.56's armor penetration.
