Ive heard of people using 10W30 motor oil. So if I got that to lube up contact points, I'd just need a bore cleaner and im good? THis is my first handgun and I do not want to fuck it up by making my shit rusty within 6 months. I mentioned rem oil because it comes in a spray and I would just spray the shit out of the internals as opposed to taking it completely apart. I know I know its lazy, but I wouldn't necessarily be going about this the wrong way, would I?

I do like how the Holosun HS503C has a circle dot someone like an Eotech. A bit concerned about warranty / how well it will hold up compared to the other Holosun models.
I have heard nothing but great things about the Vortex Sparc 2. The warranty is supposedly amazing too. Perhaps the Vortex Venom 3 instead?
Would go for Eotech but inner jew is always telling me to spend less. Warranty isn't that stellar compare to others, who knows if company will still be around to even warranty.
Any suggestion on flip sights or just forgo them?

What tools would someone *really* need to complete a stripped AR lower? Could I get by with a roll pin punch set and two faced hammer? Any tools that are a must or would make it 10x easier? Working on my first build and potentially will be starting up another shortly after.

I know people that squeezed in AR15 trigger pins with a set of vice grips wrapped with electrical tape since they didn't want to buy a punch set.
Obviously not recommended.
Roll pin punch set and a hammer is sufficient. Box cutter or Exacto knife to use as a shim for holding in springs and detents during install is a bonus, as is having a friend help you hold pieces during the install.

I live in a ban state (permit for pistols) and am thinking of getting another 9mm. Should I get a Glock? I've rented and shot a few at my range and think they're pretty decent handguns, except for the shitty stock sights. My first handgun was a CZ 75 PCR because I had to be a special snowflake and get a metal framed compact and while I love it, holy fuck are magazines and accessories expensive. I like that Glock mags and mods are hella cheap, but overall the gun seems just boringly reliable.

Why is it that these idiots always seem to gravitate towards Glocks? Worked at Local gun range once upon a time of all the negligent discharges and exploded guns a highly disproportionate number of them were glock owners.
