Post images and discussion of at least somewhat realistic fictional vehicles, weapons, uniforms, and whatever else you might have. I'm going to be focusing on aircraft for a bit.
Laws of physics need not be obeyed completely, but should be at least treated as guidelines, the key word is 'Believable' not 'totally realistic'.

After posting this, I realize that this is the worst of the designs this guy made. The WWII pusher props are kinda a cool idea but I just noticed that this is a plane with a pusher prop and a tail gun.
That can't end well.
>>30060829
I love the design, it's really fitting in with the lore to the kerberos world. Thing is you take a shot at the legs and the user is fucked, and there's no explosive protection since those are just armor pads.
I always liked the HL2 Combine's gear
>>30060872
>there's no explosive protection
Huh? One of the first dialogues is about how the protect gear saved his ass from the bomb.
>>30060866
It's a german plane, I'm sure those wacky little krauts managed to overengineer a synchronizer for the gun, while keeping it aimable and able to fire between the two props.

Its definitely possible, but you'd have an absolutely tiny ammunition load for most of the weapons. You'd be seeing like... 10 Recoilless rounds, maybe 2000 .30 cal, and like 10 mortar shells or something, and don't even get started on the flamethrowers.

It's always better to put the battery slots on the rear of the helmet to act as ballast and reduce the profile. Unless it absolutely needs to be on top of your helmet, you should find some other spot to put it.
The flashlight is a whole other problem. Yes, it is occasionally useful to have a headlight, but in that case you would be moving crates around at the FOB, not in the field. I would be really uncomfortable working at night with a dude with all that boxy shit on his dome.

You guys didn't even mention the worst part. It has three propellers.
>>30066216
props can only rotate 2 different directions
prop in the middle is just free-wheeling
what the fuck is the point?
it's literally preventing the first prop from pushing anything.
>>30066317
>props can only rotate 2 different directions
Yes... well, there's also the possibility of a stator.
>prop in the middle is just free-wheeling
You sure?
>what the fuck is the point?
Same reason some turbofans and compressors have more than two stages, I suppose. If you have lots of horsepower, limited propeller diameter and need outrageously high specific thrust for whatever reason, employing additional coaxial stages (within reason) is the most efficient way to achieve it.
>>30066886
welll a Turbofan is contained within a chamber, those props aren't.
the third one is either sucking power away or pushing nothing
if it's pulling, it's not gaining anything except prop wash from the one behind it.
if its pushing, it's not adding thrust because of the one in front doing the same.
I just don't see how it works?
not an engineer by any means so I'm probably missing something.
guys clearly the point is to confuse the enemy so they're shot down while they're wondering what the fuck is with the third prop.
holding the line against spacenoid scum
>>30067008
The Ruskies use shit like this, little microlight recon aircraft, was thinking it'd be neat if they had mini-rocket capability.
>>30066990
>welll a Turbofan is contained within a chamber, those props aren't.
Yes, and it does matter, but it doesn't completely nullify the principles at play.
>the third one is either sucking power away or pushing nothing
>I just don't see how it works?
Each stage would be working, producing thrust and adding velocity to the airflow. But since there are three separate stages to spread the delta-V across, less delta-V is required from each stage to produce a given overall specific thrust (which helps because often the only effective alternative after a certain point is to increase RPM into the supersonic range). In addition, since there is contra-rotation to exploit, both vorticity and torque could be nullified (this would, of course, require the center prop to carry as much torque as the other two combined), potentially improving efficiency in that respect as well.
That said, there generally isn't much reason to constrain yourself to such outrageously high specific thrust, and a larger-diameter prop (or multiple non-coaxial props) will be more efficient.

The CG has to be ahead of the aerodynamic neutral point, which (since it's a canard) must be ahead of the 25% chord line of the wing. Those fins are behind the CG.

Other parts of Germany is hilly or mountainous. Also Germany exports weapons systems such as Leopard 1 and 2 to countries where the terrain is the limiting factor in range. An elevated launch and observation platform would therefore not be entirely silly.
