We have a hell of a lot more meetups now than before NuggetFest started and I'm happen to see /k/ommandos meeting up locally to hangout and enjoy their hobbies.

If you're asking why I continue to host NuggetFest it free, at my own financial and personal expense there's a few reasons. Long answer; I love camping, target shooting, hiking, cooking out and just being out in nature. Coincidentally so do many of the /k/ommandos around the country. More than that, I love sharing those hobbies and interests with others that don't get to partake in them as often as they wish they could, like myself.
Not everyone has 40 acres and a homemade range setup in their backyard to enjoy at their leisure like some of the fortunate folks on here. Not everyone has a solid nearby range with a good group of locals they can spend time with talking about their hobbies. Not everyone has access to a long list of NFA legal fully automatic, suppressed, or belt fed firearms. Individually /k/ doesn't have a lot. But together we have everything we could ever ask for and more.
I love bringing /k/ommandos together for a weekend away from home to enjoy aspects of their hobbies they've only dreamed of. I wouldn't have been able to Shoot a suppressed Barrett .50cal without Josh(Hallway Guy). I wouldn't have been able to go mudding in a jacked up 4WD Suburban without 4WDSuburbianGuy. I wouldn't have been enjoy a nice shit in some very well crafted outhouses without ShitterGuy, lol. I could write pages about the amazing things I've gotten to do with the amazing people I've met through NuggetFest. There are far too many wonderful people to name with the character limit here.
If driving 600 miles and renting a campsite for 3 days lets other /k/ommrades enjoy a weekend of their favorite activities in a safe and stress free environment away from the hustle and bustle of daily work and college routines, then I consider my time, money and energy well spent.
Short answer; I made a promise to /k/ from the beginning that I would continue doing NuggetFest and keep it free for as long as I live.
