The Ukrainian military has adopted a modernized adaptation of the Mosin Nagant. Discuss.

>ukrainian
no such military
who cares, shitty rifle thats only used by poorfag human waste and neckbeards.
XAXAAXAXAXAXAX)))))))))
>Muh nuget
>Muh nuggetfood
anti american resukies need to gtfo off my board
>>30028590
Neat, though likely unnecessary. It'd be cool if they made a version for civilian sale in the US.
>>30028590
>that fucking A2 grip
Why do companies do this? It's an awful grip, I get going with an AR-compatible design but why not use something nicer when it's on a gun that didn't come with an AR grip in the first place, why not put a decent aftermarket one on by default?
>no remote possibility of a proper cheekweld
every fucking time
fucking faggots jb welded a nugget action inside an ar 15 handguard, as in, not crammed it into receivers, just the hand guard
Oh lordy
>>30028662
slavs are used to using chin welds though, and some guns and optics are designed around that.
And this shit takes fucking AR furniture anyway, so just slap on whatever adjustable stock you want (not that I think there is anything that would actually be high enough to give you a cheek weld)
>>30028686
could have at least sprung for a magpul prs, or hell even ripped off whatever stock is on the rugay precision
>>30028643
That would mean buying said grips from another company. The patents on the A2 grip are long dead, so anyone with a plastic injection mold can make them.
>>30028700
I guess that kinda makes sense. If I were gonna mold my own grips, though, I'd at least come up with something more comfortable. Even the original M16 grip is better, I don't know who the fuck that stupid finger notch fits but it sure as hell isn't me.
They could have ripped off finland, but no, they had to rip off bubba.
Hell, they could have ripped of archangel.
>>30028741
>>30028713
A2s are cheap and readily available. It's only a place holder anyway. The whole reason for going with AR furniture is so the end user can strip thag shit off and pop on whatever they want anyway.
I mean the action of a Mosin is rock solid. Why change it if you don't need to?
Keep in mind, we use a modified version of an action that came out in 1898 in the Mauser 98 in most of our bolt guns today, even if Remington is trashola, we still use them
>>30028590
>>30028686
They couldn't have gone with a better stock? Were there really no other options besides a bare bones m4 stock?
That seems like a terrible choice for a dedicated sniper rifle.
>>30028836
>Keep in mind, we use a modified version of an action that came out in 1898 in the Mauser 98 in most of our bolt guns today,
Not in any of the serious precision or sniping ones we don't.
>>30028599
Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha. Tell that to Russian Cargo 200s.
Can I get / make one?
>>30029290
nice meme
that rifle should have been aborted. give me a dragunov.
Sad that anyone would be forced to use that piece of shit to defend themselves or their buddies. It's a 200 yr old design, let it go.
>>30029481
the opposition uses them. its just that rifle in the op is something youd expect an african military to ghetto rig together.
>>30029481
ever seen a knife?
Am I the only dude that prefers mausers?
>>30029481
Do you even mauser action? it's not that much older
>>30029522
Only you and the vast majority of the western world but don't worry you're still special in my book <3
>>30029522
Mausers are objectively superior. Having said that, it doesn't mean I don't enjoy Nuggets for what they are
>>30028590
Maybe they just had a bunch of ancient tooling set up for making Nuggets?
Seems odd they wouldn't go with something like a Remington 700 though.
>>30029590
ohhhh....
Because they're not chambered in 54R.
Well then.. Nugget might have been the way to go?
>>30028590
poorfags gonna poor
>>30029590
they probably had an assload of barreled actions laying around
>>30029603
Maybe, but what modern bolt actions are sold in 54R ?
>>30029614
Rechambering really isn't that much of an issue if you're the one making the guns in the first place. Rem made 700s in 8mm JS for chrissake
>>30029616
I thought the Rimmed cartridge part would make it unreliable or need significant modification.
