If you had $1000 to spend on guns/gear right now, what would you get?

What the fuck

>1000 dollars
>for a fucking Henry
>>30024921
>msrp
My lgs can get it for $750. Still pricey, but it's so purdy...
>>30024879
I'm hoping that yard was DESIGNATED.
>>30024933
Henry build quality tends to be fairly on the cheap side. I'd recommend another brand unless you must have the henry.
Get a used marlin, or save up a bit more a get a new Winchester.
>>30024879
that was
something
>>30024970
Now I've seen a some legit critics of Henry rifles, but build quality being cheap, seriously? Have you ever handled or fired one? They're pretty fucking top notch as far as build, fit, and finish.
>>30024770
Vepr or PTR91
>>30025006
Have you ever handled any other lever gun? Henry's are a step above Rossi in terms of finish, but they still feel flimsy and cheap.
>>30025017
>Tfw want a ptr, but are a reloaded and don't want your 308 brass getting rekt
>>30025006
>Have you ever handled or fired one?
Yes actually, the headspacing was wrong and I got unburnt powder embedded in my face. I realize this is a one in a thousand thing, but I still stay the fuck away to this day, and wear eye protection.
Probably a Glock 43 or Glock 26. It'd be my first gun and I already have my carry permit, I want something I can carry everyday regardless of attire.
Less width will probably lead me to getting a 43.

>Rossi
Loose and gritty action, felt cheap.
>Marlin (new)
Gritty action, furniture kinda looked like garbage.
>Marlin (used)
Can't find any in my area
>Winchester
Honestly haven't handled one before
Henry so far has been the best I've had my hands on.
>>30025047
Thats...different.
>>30025129
You could have just said you were lazy and decided the compromise on the easy choice due to your low standards anon.
an ak74. either Arsenal or James River.
>>30025148
I wasn't compromising shit. I was looking at the steel versions for $600 and for the price you can't get much better except for maybe a used marlin. But the only older marlins or even JM stamped ones that show up in my area are chambered in 25-20 or 30-30. I want a lever gun that compliments my Security Six.
>>30025163
Kinds been itching for an ak varient, but can't stand the though of getting a new caliber and mags to match.
>>30025176
>I didn't compromise
>except in the way i totally did.
>>30025163
Buy a cheap one, Arsenal is not worth the money. I have an slr107 and it came with canted sights and a crooked side rail mount that leaves most rails in physical contact with the dust cover. To its credit it's never malfunctioned but I could have just as easily bought a $500 AK and put $500 worth of gunsmith work into it and it'd have been nicer in literally every way.

As soon as my tax returns come baby...

A bumpfire lower to put on Picrelated with an old-style Bipod
I already got all the NEAT stuff I wanted.
I guess that leaves boring things like a glock 19 or Scorpion Evo 3 SBR.
>>30024770
A FAL or a PSL
>>30025315
>psl
brain fart. I meant ptr.
