It's not really another religion though. Christian myself here. Yoga and meditation are just mental techniques to calm yourself in preparation for the actual "religious" part.

The Tactical Edge by Charles Remsburg a 1986 book for LEOs(now available on Amazon) advocates meditation though without the Buddhist woo.
