I've recently taken steps to join Peshmerga in the fight against isis, are there any vets or weapons experts on here that could help me out with my training? I've never served or shot a gun before. Just looking to learn the basics before I head over.

OP the Pesh will either outright reject you or put you in some fucking rear echelon unit that sees zero fighting and talks big shit to the media. If you do get (un)lucky enough to be put on the front lines, you will die a horrible death in the middle of a shithole country for people that don't care about you one way or the other. If ISIS captures you, you will die in the worst way imaginable and it will be broadcast on the internet- they're losing ground currently, and are getting more violent and desperate. If you manage to survive combat by some grace of god, you will be forever haunted by what you've done or seen- especially because you know that in the end, you did nothing to help a completely lost situation.
