>tfw have only $500 for a CCW including ammo and holster and all of the good handguns are over $500
>>
You could prob find a West German Sig for $450
>>
>>29998061
just look into a local online gun dealer, such as gun trader for your state, faggot
>>
>>29998061
Shields are extremely affordable and the quality you get is well worth it. You can easily get a good setup for about $500 ammo included.
>>29998073

I held one of those and the grip felt so slim. I don't know. I liked how the Walther CCP felt but apparently those have manufacturing problems.

There are no ranges around me/places to rent so I can't shoot anything before I buy it, a big drag.
>>
>>29998080
transfer fee would be too much.
>>
my lc9s was only $300
>>
>>29998061
if it's strictly CCW, then just buy an LCP. if you're not going to the range every month to shoot it, then for all intents and purposes, who gives a fuck. $200 for that, extra like $20 for pocket holster, and then whatever you want to spend for ammo. you'll have $250 left no matter what. get some empty cans and bottles, drive out to the woods in a country area and shoot it there, nobody will give a fuck. look at whatever they have used before even bothering with their new shit. haggle, get them to at least haggle the tax off.

otherwise you'll be getting some glock clone like >>29998090 or >>29998185

Think about it like this OP, the best gun you will get is like a gen 3 Glock 19 with no ammo or holster and that's if you were to haggle them down like $75.

IMO everyone should have an LCP even if they already carry something else. a backup pocket pistol is never a bad idea. so the LCP you buy will be a keeper, not some momentary shit.

Could put the Ruger American pistol on there as a premium option.

Go for like $430-480 and is the best pistol I've used.

You will not look at the Glocks. This is not debatable.

You will not look at some special snow-flake old/rare/sexy gun like a High Power, Luger, C96, Makarov, PPK, or 1911.

You will not look at some unnecessary operator-tier pistol like a fucking H&K USP Tactical, MK23, or any match pistols.

You are not going to look at anything from a fucking movie or video game like the Walther PPK, Smith & Wesson Model 29, Mk 23 SOCOM, or whatever gun is in that gay ass anime shit you watch.

You're going to buy a 9mm. .45 ACP is unnecessary. .380 ACP isn't worth it. 10mm and .40 S&W are weird. This is not debatable as the majority of experts agree that 9mm is the perfect round for a handgun taking into account the stopping power, availability, ease of control, price, etc.

You are going to choose between the COMPACT VARIANTS of the Sig Sauer P226, an H&K USP, or a Beretta 92.

You are going to check if you can reach all controls of the pistol comfortably, basically fingerfucking the shit out of it. Firearms are made to a standard where you almost have to man-handle it just to operate it. Don't worry about being rough with it. You will probably have to. Release the magazine, pull back the slide, and engage the safety as much as you'd like.

You will ask to dry-fire before doing so. It won't hurt the gun but most people are idiots and don't understand how center-fire pistols actually work, even while working in a fucking gun shop. They very well may flip out if you do so without asking. DESU I would just buy some 9mm snap caps from them immediately when you walk into the store before even looking at the guns, and then using them to test and dry-fire as you please.

You will do this for all of the choices I have given above and you will settle on whichever is the most comfortable for you. This is not debatable.

You will haggle and not pay the asking price under any circumstance. You will at the very least haggle the tax off of the total cost.

Or you can just read my post which is much shorter
>buy a sig p239
>>
>>30001823

They are, but not as a first gun. I own a Glock 17, and it was my first purchase. I don't regret it, but I can see how other pistols would have been better suited (such as the CZ 75 Shadow SP01, Smith & Wesson M&P9, HK VP9, or any other pistol mentioned earlier in this thread).

In my case I wanted a Glock for more reasons than just to own a gun. I wanted to have the same type of equipment at home as our military does (Norwegian), so that I can practice without changing platforms.

Where the military uses P80 and HK416, civilians use Glock 17 Gen 4 and HK MR556 (or MR223 as it's called in Europe).

But, I digress..

>Sig Sauer P226, an H&K USP, or a Beretta 92.
how in the fuck is OP going to afford that for like $400. he needs to use like $100 for ammo and a holster. how in the FUCKING FUCK is he going to get ANY of that for $400, even if he haggled, he's only going to get another like 10% bringing him to a $450 gun. MAYBE he could get a glock.

You can only acquire handguns as gifts and private sales in the US if over 18 and under 21. Just no dealer purchases according to federal law there may be more restrictions based off of your state.

>>29999008
Where is the one for Alabama?
>>
>>29998459
very old list
>>
>>30001680
This is fucking autistic. I'll agree to don't pay the asking price. Those guns are less than ideal for conceal carry.
>>
>>30001882
you could totally get an H&K VP9 for that. H&K is GOAT and the VP9 feels like sex. paddle mag release is fucking great. It's a good fucking gun.
