How do you like the schempp bowie, can you flick it open it fast like a benchmade or para2? I like it but i seem to remeber reading a review that it doesnt have fast one hand deployment.

(Not him) because the hole is further down the blade than the pm2 or most benchmades its slightly slower but you can still flick it open fairly easily, and you can make it very fast by putting your wrist into it. The closest knife i've had to it is the endura 4

My kabar handle dried out, after I handle it for a while it darkens back out. Is this abnormal? Mine has just always done this, maybe humidity?

The bowie is honestly my most carried in the set. I can open it faster than even the OTFs or the benchmades because I open it using my middle finger from behind the spyderhole. My hand naturally moves into position when I draw it from my pocket. If you want it even faster you could use the zip tie hack to turn it into an emerson opening, but with a little practice its fast enough already. Its my first and only spyderco because after it, I haven't found a single one I've liked better.

The bottom is a Christy, an old gentleman's pocket knife. Basically an OTF from 1891, its great for not scaring coworkers.

It dried out due to lack of use, I've been at college so it stayed at home. But after a couple hours use its darkened again, but the stripes have stayed. I assume it'd fully darken if I sweat into it a bit

Yeah im sure if you used it more and more it would darken. I guess you could also put some mink oil or beeswax or something on it too and it would treat it.. dont know that for sure though
