Benelli Super Black Eagle II.

Benelli M2 if you don't need 3 1/2 mag shells
>>
>>29988048

i like my Beretta. AL391, not sure what it's called now.
>>
>>29989463
i thought that was more of a waterfowl gun, being that it had trouble cycling light loads
>>
Benelli (insert model here)

skeet can suck a dick

sporting clays is where it's at

Over-Under is the superior breed of shotgun.
>>
>>29990406
each has it's merits

having one or the other doesn't make you special or superior.

i've seen old fogeys with ithaca featherlights outshoot yuppies with $5000 spaghetti custom guns.

>>29988048

Remington 1100.

Can't kill them. Literally.
>>
>>29990384

as an owner of one... no. it's a 3gun shotgun, not a clays shotgun. not well-balanced and with features you don't need/care for/want for clays. it's a great 3gun shotgun, though.

>>29990554

3gun shooters did easily.

I'm not gonna lie, I thought that both were the same. Yet again I'm a retard that used wd40 to clean a gun.

Remington 887 nitromag pump action reporting in
>>
>>29990743

Me and several other people I know haven't had issues with ours. In fact just sold a spare barrel to one of my buddies for his so he can play around more with it.
>>
>>29990798
my 887 is my biggest regret, they are pieces of shit

OP check out stoeger M3000 or M3500

alternatively, mossberg 930

das it mane
>>
>>29990883

>>

Just scooped this yesterday, had a tough time deciding between it and the SBE II...used this dove hunting last year, was amazing.

the Miculeks use them to compete. Its a good shotgun. If I were going to get a semi auto shotgun tomorrow it would would probably be a JM930, with the Stoeger 3000 or 3500(the latter can use 3.5" shells if you want to goose or turkey hunt) coming in a close second. Either would be a good choice

If were willing to spend a lot more, you could snag a Benelli M3 or M4, but you probably dont and the first options are still fine

Skeet usually refers to fixed-station shooting, sometimes with a wobble, sometimes not. Either way, you don't ever move from your little stand unless you're walking a couple feet over to another little stand.

Sporting clays usually refers to the courses where you walk through the woods and shoot pigeons that are fired to simulate various game targets.

I have put close to 3,000 various shells through mine and only had 1 legitimate malfunction. Failure to eject after a 50 shell string.
>>
I have a Berreta 391. Had to get the shell carrier switched out to one from a 390 (don't know if they fixed that problem) and had the springs changed to cycle 1 oz loads. Works great now.

Skeet uses two houses, high and low, with stations positioned along a semi-circle and with two house facing stations in the middle of the circle's diameter.

Trap is shot from five stations along an arc and positioned 16 yards behind a forward facing house. The birds are thrown away from the shooter on a mechanically randomized toss.

Sporting clays is done on courses, with designed shots from positioned throwers. Most courses change the setup every so often. It is sort of like golf with shotguns.

Trap doubles is trap with two birds, either on report or simultaneous release.

The 887 hasn't failed me yet, but should I just sell it and get something else?

Browning Maxus.

Lightest shooting shotgun around
>>
>>29990743
OP says sport shooting

nothing about a clay gun

hell a saiga counts as a sporting shotgun too
>>
>>29991188
Mossberg 930s turn into pump action during competitions. Just read the reviews and many competitors say the same thing.

Go with a Stoeger M3k or M3000, its GOAT. I have one and it shoots everything I feed it.
>>
>>29994674
It's a post 2007 Remington. If it hasn't failed you yet it: you've never shot it, it's about to fail, or both. Sell it and buy a pre-2007 wing master.

>>29995128
hunting = shooting animals
sport = shooting clays
target = shooting paper
plinking = anything else

2nd for sbeii. Points so well, it's my favorite for anything in the air.

6 years of shooting pheasant dove duck trap skeet sporting and not one failure.

That and it will outlive you.
