Does this strike more fear into people than a gun?
No. You can't outrun a bullet.

Depends quick shot in the head over this

Not really, if the guy has a knife you can just run away from him.
Oh and wether it's a kitchen knife or a Ka Bar won't change much to the outcome of the fight

Fucking casual.
You never see the knife.
You don't pull it out to scare fucking homeless fellas.
The knife is inside you before you realize it was a poor choice.

But one time I did threaten a homeless fella with my knife and a quick bath in the Mississippi, which happened to be well over its banks and only a few feet away. He finally got the message and promptly fucked off.

Only if it's in between their ribs.
I've taken ricochets before, and I've been cut before.
While you can't outrun bullet, i'd much rather be shot than stabbed.
on the other hand, you may be able to out run a knife

Your post keeps switching between 3rd and 1st person perspectives, it's really confusing.

Makes perfect sense if it's a suicide story.
People have a much more visceral fear of being stabbed than being shot because being shot will most likely lead to a rather quick death but being stabbed will be agonizing and drawn out.
>>29953344
Stabbing someone effectively will kill or incapacitate them very quickly.
>>29953412
No doubt, but the average knife weilding criminal isn't trained in the art of immediate incapacitation with a blade.
I would rather be scared of a gun, but always fear a knife, you never know the odds of getting stabbed.
>>29948407
the way I read this I thought you were talking about threatening a man with a knife then immediately stabbing yourself as an additional threat.

My thoughts exactly. I've done autopsies on people who've been shot and stabbed to death, and it's usually like 10-30 stab wounds or 2-5 gunshot wounds, respectively. I'd rather be shot a few times than feel cold steel enter and exit my body tens of times.
