>>29910331
Yeah.
You should go look up what strategic military lift airplanes regularly carry. Now that's impressive.
>>29910331
Just how damn new are you?
if you count only speed and payload, you need 300 C-47s to carry as much shit as a single Mriya
>>29910409
wat
>>29910409
>C-47
Wew lad, its not korea anymore.
So when's Russia going to turn one of these babies into an AC-130 style gunship?
>>29910416
>Or WWII
>>29910433
Why would you do that?
So much fuel and so much wasted space..
Would end up costing more than a B-52 to operate.
>>29910433
Never, the only ones left are operated by Ukraine.
>>29910433
>one of these babies
There is only one such a babe and it was left in Ukraine along with the half-finished second airframe after the dissolution of the USSR. Russia could probably wind it up, as well as the almost complete 4th Slava-class cruiser rusting in Nikolayev, but Ukraine was always too salty to just let them to.
Its older brother is not all that much smaller and there's quite a few of them.
I'm not sure what OP's point is but I think this is a retarded looking planes thread so I'm going to post a retarded looking plane

>salo transporter
ha.jpg
>>29910526
I see what you did thar
>>29910389
Holy shit, I've stood next to the Discovery at the Udvar Hazy Center in Virginia, I finally have some sort of reference as to how big the AN-225 really is.
>>29910582
That's not discovery, it's a Russian copy of the space shuttle.

>>29910544
For some reason Beluga always brings Thunderbird 2 into my mind.
>tfw no VTOL capable, atomic fusion reactor powered heavy duty transporter aircraft
>>29910595
>copy
Oh boy, here we go again.
>>29910598
kek, to think I used to think that thing could possibly fly, not wit those stubby little wings
nice looking thing tho, apart from the stupid spoiler, would look better without the middle spar between rudders.
>>29910606
>implying it's not a direct copy from the NASA shuttle
>implying the Soviet Union didn't copy a fuck load of things from the U.S
>B-29 looking at you.
>>29910606
badly overengineered
this is why it never flew much
>>29910637
It worked well, but lack of funding killed it.
>>29910617
Do you not know what a lifting body is?
>>29910653
Sure like the F-15E
But Thunderbird 2 doesn't have a lifting body and its take off speed would need to be extreme.
I think it was 'implied' the VTOL thrust would provide lift and maneuverability in flight.

>If the ninja turtles had a plane
>>29910331
I saw the same plane land in Chateauroux when I went there.
>>29910476
Shit, i cant blame them for the salt.
>>29910526
>Salo transporter
Ukraine confirmed, but do they have a horilka transporter?
>>29910617
>Implying it's a copy of the Space Shuttle in any way
>Implying Soviet Union copied anything but B-29, H-19 and AIM-9
Educate thyself before posting, please.

>>29910637
the thing could fly itself, that's pretty damn impressive
>>29910768
Nigga u what? This beauty doesn't deserve such a fate.
>>29911874
and the Ukraine doesn't deserve having the rooskies all up in their grill.
>>29911948
>Some shithole non-country is more significant than this beauty
What are you even doing on /k?
