After discovering restricted ppp's are a thing, I'm eyeing a USP compact. It's cheap on the used market and is just the right size that I can conceal it, at least under a light jacket. I really need a glock 19 sized firearm with a longer grip and not shit sights, and the usp seems to fit the bill.

To be honest almost any kind of boot or outdoors type footwear will stand out to an attentive observer. Criminals, especially in urban places, seem to see boots as "cop shoes." A lot of guys who worked undercover seem to favor regular sneakers like Converse or Vans. When you think about it, some regular sneaks will let you do anything you need to do in an urban environment.

I like the M&P more than I do my G19 but I actually like the finger grooves even more. they fit my fingers perfectly and I've noticed give me consistent grip both on the draw and during firing.
anyone know how to get glock-sized finger grooves onto an M&P frame? been thinking about using a putty or something but I wanna know if there's a better way. also hogue grips suck, too fat for me

no it was an image i made because someone asked if you could have retention fit mags in a chicom. There are 6 magazines and three of them are like the so that you can get to them faster. the fit is tight enough that they don't come out. the only reason the flaps are like that is because i needed them out of the way to do it.

I've carried and used a lot of pistols over the years but it always comes back to the 1911 for me. I'll be placing an order for a Wilson Combat within the year.
>>
>>29907797
I use my carry gun (glock 26) as my main sidearm. It's a secondary option and is there if you need it. On the plus side, it's smaller and lighter than duty pistols.
>>
>>29907820
yeah but it just seems pointless to have a 9mm handgun without the capacity benefits.

>>29907827
there are more guns and gun owners in california then in any other state. the problem is we have a corrupt state government and all of the idiots who live in the giant cities are all on muh programs so they vote democrat.

>>29907852
it's very unlikely i could buy a new g26 from a store and there are basically no ffl dealers willing to ship them to california. The DOJ roster has less and less approved guns on it every year because companies are so tired of californias shit they just don't submit guns.

so my only real option is to buy it used and i can't fucking find anyone that selling half way decent gun within a 100 miles of me.

Tactical Distributors Tactical Shooter's shirt in coyote brown, size medium to make me look bigger.

That's all my gear and meatgundam's gun, I mostly took it to rub it in my old partner's face how much cooler my stuff is and that I get 2 GODDAMN PSQs.

Sadly, the ammo pouches were mostly unused that rotation, we were only given 300 rounds per iteration.

If I can comfortably CC this USP compact, a 1911 is my second pistol. If not, it's my third. Every 1911 I've shot has been a blast, from RIA to Springfield. And I've only shot the cheap stuff.
>>
>>29907900

>more guns and gun owners

you're also the largest state, so of course there are a lot of guns and gun owners

doesn't change the fact that its one of the top 5 worst states to be a gun owner

>the problem is all the people who vote for gun control

>>
>>29907900
>yeah but it just seems pointless to have a 9mm handgun without the capacity benefits

Dude, the most popular pistols that people carry on a daily basis have lower than 10 round capacities. Would you rather have something that you can use in the case that your rifle goes down, is not with you, or gets taken away or not?

The bonus is that you are just buying a concealed carry pistol. If shit gets really fucking bad (you know like in the circumstance that you would actually even use your AR) then you can carry a concealed weapon without even being concerned about not having a CCW permit.

but that belt lets me carry 600 extra rounds of linked 7.62 for the gun. The main idea behind that is if I get shot, you just take my belt with all my rounds and run.

Having a belt rig lets you lie prone easier, but it does require a little time to get used to. It's also a bit less real estate than a plate carrier can usually offer. Also the possibility of back pain later in life.

Nah, I don't know about other units, but our AGs get a handy little insulated bag in which to carry both the barrels and the tripod. I also keep a spritzer of CLP in one of my TAP pockets to keep the feeder pawls running.

The binos are more of a training thing. I'm not allowed to have my M4's barrel within 45 degrees of friendly forces, a 240 on tripod has a 15 degree limit. This means that if friendly forces move in too close, I could get in trouble for using my M4's ACOG to spot targets.

Well, you lose this bet. Nobody fucking cares about lawns. They aren't "manly". Pulling weeds and shit is what women do while their husbands shoot Nazis or burn down Atlanta.

In the days of the hunter-gatherers, you would have been picking berries and shit while men were out hunting or fighting in war parties.
>>
>>29910441
But the modern day lawn is a sign of a mans mastery over nature through its manipulation and his ability to mold it into a shape that is more than want would be possible without his influence.

Your inability to do basic lawn care shows a lack of control over forces both exterior and interior, thus your partner is showing a greater level of personal mastery than you are.

Riding in a car mount a holster in the kangaroo pouch.

I was meaning what's yer workout too?

I used to do keto, and I'm considering going back to a not-quite-keto, but still low carb plan for my clean summer. Looking for somewhere along the lines of 60% fat, 30% protein,>10% carbs. Trying to cut out all HFCS and only eat natural sugars.

Reinstalled MyFitPal on a phone and going to start tracking stats next week.

You working out? I redid my plan and added a bunch of snatches (phrasing) and front squats to my routine. Also been doing rope swings with a buddy. Rope swings feel awful, but they work good. I'm hoping to hit advanced or elite standards for every exercise listed on exrx.net by the end of summer.

The only downside to my lifting is that I can no longer close my medium IBA at my chest.

yeah i don't see why that wouldn't work. but the thing about putty molle pouches on a 1.5 inch belt is that you can't weave it on. that's why people use molle war belts or put velcro on the inner belts so that you can use pouches with velcro on them and the wont slide.

yeah then it will work absolutely fine. personally i think you should get the g-code rti duty mount instead of the drop leg panel. It will secure your pistol in roughly the same spot and you dont have to wear a strap on your leg. I hate wearing drop legs but if you like it then thats fine too.

>t I really want to set one up without too much costly and time consuming trial and error

a full on battle belt system is going to cost $300-$400 the inner belt is like 60-150 the padded belt is 90-150 and pouches cost like 40 bucks each. you can buy high speed kydex belt systems for 400 ish too.

what you really need to decide is exactly what you want the belt for and what you need it to do. If you are wearing it over your clothes and maybe in conjunction with a plate carrier or a chest rig then you should probably get a padded war belt with molle and shit

but if you are going to wear it with your shirt tucked in and your pants belt exposed you can do all kinds of kydex wizardry and it can even be concealable. but when you want to wear anything untucked while you wear body armor then you run into more problems with shit being in the way and thats were the big belt systems come in because they can go on over everything quickly and easily.

you can start by emulating battle belts that you can fine in pictures and picking and choosing what looks right then you modify it from there. but just do your research on every item and know what the good shit is.

but there are so many different ways to do it. none of these pictures im gonna post are the way i prefer it but you gotta look at the stuff and pick and choose what looks like it will suit you.
>>
>>29916095
not really, you could easily buy a kydex reinforced belt from the beltman or something like an HTC cobra buckle belt and then buy kydex pouches for everything to keep it simple.
adding a MOLLE sleeve opens your options but ads like 60-200 bucks

yeah i agree with skelly. you can do it really simply with just a belt and some slide on or clip on pouches. it's still gonna cost you some dosh tho.

you can just buy a ridged belt and a kydex outside the waistband holster and some mag holders and boom you got a battle belt. but its hooked into your pants and you have to tuck your shirt in to wear it.
>>
>>29916267
>$400

Jesus Christ. I mean, yeah a high end belt can cost that much, but you can put something together for much cheaper.

>>29916095
You get a belt with MOLLE and a decent inner belt. By "decent" I primarily mean something with a clip or cobra buckle rather than a normal style belt.

I wouldn't load a battle belt down with a ton of weight, unless you're cool with getting suspenders. If so, you've got to make sure your belt has loops for them.

Pouches are wide open. You can do everything from cheap surplus velcro closures to fancy TACO pouches.

Personally, I like to keep a belt fairly light. 2 rifle mags in a pouch, 2 pistol mags in a pouch, dump pouch, multitool, pistol, first aid pouch. More shit than that starts to add up fast, so I've found that to be about the right balance.

In fact, I've personally moved away from battlebelts to duty belts for lightness and comfort reasons. My newest duty belt cost a whopping $10.

If you want a battle belt for fairly cheap, SKD TAC has an ATS belt for $40. Pick up a cobra inner belt, and you are on your way.

yeah, its not cheap by any means I mean when you look at the HTC system you get an idea of how much you'll roughly spend, so around 400+

Thanks for the suggestions

I do want it to have MOLLE and will mostly be wearing it with my plate carrier or when my plate carrier is just too much

Mine will probably have
2 rifle mags
holster
2 handgun mags
dump pouch
flashlight
multitool
water

if you are gonna get like a suregrip belt with some kobra belt and taco pouches and a pistol holster and shit like that its gonna cost the same as
>>29916297
>>29916415
these.

but you can just buy a clip on holster and a mag carrier for your prmary and your secondary and hook it into your belt and be done.

>>29916448
yeah you can put all that shit on a padded molle belt pretty easy. i don't think you would want to even try to put water on a normal belt.

Sure, if you jump directly all the most expensive shit you can possibly get. Anon wants to put together a first belt, not necessarily break the bank. You can get good solid stuff and put together a functionally similar belt for like half that price.

I used this for 4-5 years, great for holding 9 mags but terrible for going prone. I would always end up just throwing 6 mags in to where it didn't feel like a fucking tv was sticking off my PC.

neat man. i don't see anything anyone would criticize that wasn't just trolling you. looks good.

what is that thing on the front right of the belt ?
>>
>>29918777
thanks familia. it's a cheap nylon pouch my streamlight protac 1L came with. it's hard to reach for shit in my pockets when i wear the war belt so i slapped it on the exposed part of the internal belt for easy high speed low drag access.
