Where does /k/ get their .22 ammo nowadays?

I wait until the next prepper dies from diabetes or heart failure
>>
>>29905698
I get mine from gunshows or if im desperate, prowl walmart
>>
>>29905698
The gun store for 9c a shot. Do you guys ever check the internet or just stay stuck in 2009?
>>
The local sporting goods store. They've had bricks in constant stock from half a dozen brands for the past year and a half.

It's not like .22 is rare here in Texas.
>>
>>29905698
The local walmart has some only on Tuesday morning.
>>
>>29905698
The Cock's by me has it for 10 cents a round, but limit is 100 rds per customer. It's on my way home from work so I usually stop by 2-3 times a week to stock up.

Wow, you're getting ripped off. They're down to five cents a round here. Proof: Picked these up at the local fun store two weeks ago.
>>
>>29905698
Dunhams near me has shelves and shelves of this stuff. I really like running the Aguila 40 grain subs out of my .22, balls accurate and quiet.
>>
>>29905698
lgs has boxes of 50 for like $2.50
>>
Local lgs has them for 3-5 cents a round. Local Gander, dicks, and big box stores usually go for 5-7 cents a round.

Everywhere. I live in Canada.

it's still over 10c here, which is ass. I'm sitting on 800 rounds of vintage stuff from Sears and it's actually cheaper to just shoot it than sell the shit and buy new rounds.
>>
>>29906076
It's what I can find. Its not scarce. Just a little expensive.
>>
I haven't had trouble getting it. I see stacks of it everywhere.

Is 22 scarcity just a meme?
>>
I get federal 50 round boxes at Cabela's for three dollars each. They have an ample variety of .22 there but I just get what's cheapest. God bless Ohio.
>>
>>29905698

Cabelas, wal mart, Bass pro shop. Can go in on a Friday at like 5pm, find plenty of it and not for a shit ton.

Life is good.
>>
>>29905725
I'd like for them all to die here. There's a chronic .22 shortage everywhere except the gun stores that inflate the prices.
>>
I reload them, it's really easy actually, easier than reloading a .223
>>
Academy. Im TN and have not noticed a shortage people keep going on about.
>>
>>29905698
I use rocks instead
>>
>>29905698
Rember the .22 can be a blessing in disguise, it's abiblty to bounce around inside its victims head allows it to do more damage per bullet dispite it's light weight .
>>
The last ones I bought were at bass pro about half a year ago. Shitty thunderbolts for 6 cpr and CCI mini mags for 8 cpr.

I bought mini mags for 7 cpr (which is actually non bulk price pre scare) at an LGS a few months before that.
>>
It's cheaper to buy them by the gallon. I bought 10 gal bucket worth of .22 and I think individually, they cost about a penny each (maybe even less)
>>
I'm out here in Phoenix, AZ. My local WalMart never has them, neither does Cabela's or a few other gunshops I've been to. There's this one that consistently does, but it's some mexican matchgrade stuff for like 10c+ a round.
>>
My aunt is the sporting goods department manager at the Canton, Ga Wal-Mart. For over a year now, she has been holding every box of .22 that comes into the store for me. I go in to buy it, she goes on break and buys it for me with her discount. It works out great.
I checked inventory this week and I have over 125k rounds of various brands.

The .22 ammo store.
>>
>>29905698
I planted several .22lr bullets in my garden last year and my last harvest from my trees yielded about 30k rounds.
>>
>>29909225
takes way too much time scraping the used primer out and packing new primer in.

From the getting place.
>>
>>29905698
Local gun shop. Only place i've seen it locally. It's not horribly priced so I pick up 1-2 hundred rounds every time I stop by. The next election is going to wipe it off the face of the earth.
>>
>>29905698
From my stockpile from 2007. Haven't bought any since. Haven't seen any in stores since Sandy Hook. I've basically stopped shooting it all together.
>>
I dont buy .22 becuase I can afford to shoot .223 and .308 in .22 quantities. I dont even have a .22 so keep panic buying .22 and ill be at the range plinking away with my AR
>>
>>29905698
Literally nowhere.
At these prices, 22 isn't nearly worth it's price. Either get one of the nice pellet rifles available to you in 177 or 22, or jump right up to a real 20c/r caliber that actually gives you it's money in fun.
>>
There's no shortage of it in NY but it's on the more expensive side, I pay about 8-10c a round
>>
