The Wild Geese is fuckin' gnarly. FALs, UZIs, Roger Moore, Rhodesians for christ's sake. My new fav combat flick. Add your own favs, but no Enemy at the Gates or Saving Private Ryan. We've been through this already.

I'll leave then
>The Wild Geese
>Flamboyant fag medic
>Hamfisted (even by modern standards) racial subplot with crossbow guy and blacks
TWG would be GOAT if there was a recut that dropped some of the fat that has aged horribly. As it stands, its a good movie, but there are long stretches that are just cringe central. As if the saffer would have actually given a fuck about serving with darkies in a mercenary company.
The dogs of war.
Christopher walken, nuf said.
It's fun as an African bush war flick, but it's mostly just middle aged brits faffing around in the woods. I love the cast, but Dogs of War is better.
Black Hawk Down is the GOAT /k/ film.

Pretty great movie right there.
Irrelevant but the same night I watched The Wild Geese was the same night I saw The Dogs of War for the first time too. Pretty good movies.

Witty was GOAT and the fact that the other guys were cool with him makes TWG extra comfy.
Also, TWG made me nervous around men named Sandy.

this
>Children of Men
Probably the only movie that really made me think "Nah, fuck war n' shit" I was really drunk at the time so obviously I wasn't thinking straight, but the power THAT scene really got me. You know the one I'm talking about.

this.
the fact that they didn't all go homo-hating on him made the movie that much better and made the characters that much more likable. they just sort of laughed it off without making fun of him or making a big deal out of it.

When Eight Bells Toll.

Agree, especially with the Witty love upthread. Not the best, but a lot of fun.

This is a pretty good movie, I got it for christmas. I love the guy who constantly says Kaffir.
Also the payback in the ending is badass.

Based movie in many ways

>realizing older movies where more tolerant than newer ones
See the old alamo with John Wayne, there even is a scene where an atheist is present. And John Wayne doesn't punch him into the dirt
or coult it be so that people are the same and faggots are demanding special treatment these days

>STEINER! STEINER! HOW DO I RELOAD!? STEINER?!
And that's when i as a young boy realized i wanted to find out how to change magazine on a MP-40, laying the ground for my interest in guns
I love Flight of the wild geese, its fucking epic in every way. I even enjoy the silly shenanigans.
But this is comfy war flick impersonated

>faggots are demanding special treatment these days
this is the problem, faggots, niggers and every other person slightly "different" has to turn their personality glitch into some kind of national campaign of "recognize my weirdness and treat me special because of it"

Hell in the Wild Bunch the entire last shootout is because they go back for their Mexican friend. And this was released in '69.

Don't quite remember the cable car scene as depicted in this poster but still a superb adaptation of Aleister MacLean's book.
