I know this is far fetched, but is it possible that any one of you has the bayonet that matches my nugget? Any other forum on which I can ask fellow nugget owners? My nugget's serial is Tж3000. I know, it's stupid. But it certainly exists somewhere, even if inside a /k/ommando's butthole

I have my gun in 30-06 and the accuracy is amazing. If you are gonna hunt medium game along with it then thats your calibre. You can hit targets at that range with both. If you are going for accuracy and ballistics then take the 300wm i guess but it is expensive to shoot.

Is $395 a good price for a S&W M&P Shield from a brick-and-mortar store?

Cheapest I've found them online is $350, and local going rate for an FFL transfer is $25, plus shipping.

>>29900741
Is it fucked up? Is it a Norinco commercial export gun or a Chink surplus gun? I notice there's no bayo lug on it and the UHG isn't wood, and I'm assuming since the box mag isn't there he was running it with duckbills...
>>

im right handed and lost my right eye a few years back, and have just gotten into Firearms, but am forced to shoot lefty because of my eye...

Is there any method or workaround i can try? I accept the fact ill never tactically shoot as i am now, but i'de at least like to be able to use my current and future firearms and be able to hit something other than a stationary target 50 feet away from me (and just barely.)

yeah i do that for my pistol because i can just hold it infront of me and im fine. but with a rifle its a different story, and thats the issue. i cant just hold it against my right shoulder and rest my head, craning my neck at a 90 degree angle on the stock so my left eye looks to the sights...

At some point, the arsenal refurbished their Mosins. The rifles were all completely disassembled, the parts were inspected and worn or damaged parts were repaired or rejected, and then new rifles were assembled from the piles of parts.

Of course all the parts had random serial numbers, so they were changed to match that of their new receiver. On some, they were ground off and restamped, on others, like yours, they were crossed out and the new number was stamped next to the old.
>>
>>29893358
Related question, even if I do have a Mosin and a bayonet with the same number on them, how likely is it that they genuinely match and it's not a forced match?

I do have a "matching" bayonet which I bought with the gun, but I've assumed for a while now that it's just a force match and not a real one. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

>>
>>29904762

>>
its possible to have a "matching" bayonet but it will be electropenciled onto the bayonet, a 'forced" match if you will, which was done during rearsenal. but given that there were years where bayonets weren't even serialized, and the fact that every time at rearsenaling parts were just chucked in piles, and that accessories were stored separate from rifles, i doubt you will ever find a rifle with a matching bayonet

So I was asking about M1 Carbines in the last thread, and I found another that peaked my fancy. A guy has one that he restored up for sale, and I wanted to know if it'st worth the $1200 he's asking. Basically he bought a CMP Carbine, one of the Bavarian Police carbines, a 1943 NPM and took the time and matched every single part sans barrel to the correct factory coded parts that would be on a 1943 NPM Carbine from a correctly marked High-wood stock down to the bolt components to make it exactly how it would have left the factory in 1943. Barrel is actually an Erma-Werke and the Trigger housing still has the Bavarian police code.

I'm not looking for a Pristine collectors piece, but something that is as close to the Authentic period correct M1 Carbine as possible, that I can take out and shoot and not feel bad about. Thoughts?

I want to buy a beater .22lr rifle for a noguns friend who loves hickok45 videos, budget is sub $100, preferably closer to $50 before transfer.

Used, wood stock preferable (it's fine if it's got some character), hierarchy of preference for the action is lever, bolt, semi, everything else.

Where do I find a halfway decent holster for this Lil Fucker? Come to think of it, how do I even carry it? In the pocket? What are my options for Pocket holsters?

I kinda wanted one until I handled it.
I suggest you do the same.

I'm really autistic about cleaning my guns but I found this in my Mosin even after I've cleaned the shit out of it. I'm thinking it's leftover cosmoline but if it's rust can anyone tell me the best way to clean corrosive ammo. I use warm water mixed with a few sprays of windex then followed up with some hoppes no 9.

I'm looking for scope mounts for a 1909 argentino mauser rechambered in 30-06, would scope mounts for other models work? Any help is appreciated.

No one can force you to go officer over enlisted, but for most, the pay increase and lack of physical labor is enticing. I've known some who went enlisted with a degree but with hopes of going officer later, "mustang". They do that mainly so they can say that they have a true idea of what the underlings have to put up with and how to improve things.

Well, I see m44s going for 250-300, and since the m38 is less common, i'd say closer to the 300+ range is fair. the surplus is dried up, don't think people have the right to expect hundred dollar nuggets anymore, much less an m38. you can tack on another 30 or so for the accessories. Don't just sell it to get rid of it, extract its full value

If the apertures are big enough to be useful the scope will be mounted obnoxiously high, if the scope isn't obnoxiously high, they won't really be useful.
Overall they're pretty silly when you can just use a better mounting solution and open your off eye if it isn't already.
Anyone have any ideas for off the shelf or near off the shelf steel target brackets? Leaning towards a bracket for portability, I intend to throw this all in a backpack and haul it in and out of clear cuts, ect.
I have the rest of the shit I need to slap this together already sitting around: emt conduit, chain, shackles, eye bolts, misc bolts, nuts and washers, not really interested in shelling out 60-120$ for some corner brackets AR500 or not.

I was thinking of taking some scrap steel pipe and heating/hammering them flat, then welding them together and cutting a hole for the cross member but I'd really like to find something less labor intensive, something I could throw a spare of in the bag or replace with a trip to home depot. Don't mind drilling as necessary.

I made a trade a while back where I valued a m38 in a m44 laminate stock at 325.

$200 seems to be the common asking price on the secondary market. I might value a pre-39 or a tula a little more.

I was given a mosin and sks for free. The problem is neither of them have stocks or furniture. What should I do K? I really dont want to thrown them in plastic mall ninja shit but I dont really see any other option. Help me.

Really dont want to do that. I saw this pic and was wondering if this stock is a custom thing or if its mass produced some where. Also I was thinking of making the mosin into a scout rifle.

thanks for the input.
My M38 has the 'matching' surplus rifle sling and all the accessories crap they usually come with. Plus I've got 8 of those mosin style surplus ammo pouches to go with it. And a couple spam cans of 54r
I was thinking about $350 for the gun & accessories
$200 for all the ammo.
whadaya all think?
Just asking you guys cause i dont wanna try and be one of those "i know what i got" craigslist tier sellers.

Commander and Officer length 1911s are even more unreliable than Government 1911s. You have to replace the springs really often because they beat themselves to death.

Unless you shoot a shitload, it isn't really practical. Generally it's quite expensive to get the initial operation set up. It can be worth it if you have buddies who shoot and are willing to pay you to reload for them too.

If the Mosin has a great bore, it's also not a bad idea. If you look online you can usually find some Mosins with immaculate bores. They cost more, though.
