Is there anything like pic related in a centerfire caliber?
The closest i can think of are the mini-14 and m1 carbine, but i'm itching for a flush-fit magazine as well

There's the Browning BAR -- not to be confused with the old infantry support weapon.
There's also the old Ruger Deerslayer and more recent Deerfield in .44 mag, if you can find either one.

mini 14 has a flush fitting 5 round mag, and the m1 carbine's 5 round mag also almost fits flush with the trigger/magazine housing group. tho aftermarket carbine magazines can be really hit and miss, before you get to excited about that.

Ruger 99/44 "Deerfield"
It's a semi-auto .44Magnum rifle with a flush fitting magazine and it came with folding diopter-style sights from the factory.
They don't make them anymore, and they were never very popular so if you want one your best bet is probably an auction site.

There's the even older Ruger .44 Carbine. 4+1 with an internal tube magazine. It's literally the gun Bill Ruger patterned the 10/22 after. For years Ruger didn't put an extended mag relaeas on the 10/22 so that they would have the same profile. Here is a side by side comparison. Top is the .44 Carbine, bottom is a 10/22.
The .44 Ca bine was made from 1960 to 1985. For the first couple of years it was called the Deerstalker, but Ithica sued over the name, and Ruger dropped it.

Yes! Only buy Ruger made mags. Most of the others suck big time.
>>29892383
I wish these had a 10 rd mag. That would be pretty cool.
>>29892215
these shits
they put the ptr91 to shame with its terminally deadly brass ejecting.

If I ever find a Deerfield, I'm going to see about making an adapter to allow it to use Desert Eagle mags.
Browning bar doesn't have a larger mag available. I have both a mini 14 and bar.

Saw one of these on Gunbroker with navy markings, flashhider and a grenade sight.
Dunno if it was a line thrower or what, couldn't find any more info on it.
ERMA M1 carbine .22lr. That is more accurate than ruger at about the same or lower price. The only problem are the parts that are expencive as fuck.
