Would anyone on here actually die for the US? You haven't been protecting your citizens for years. You are enforcing a politicial agenda which is turning the world to hate the US, not the politicians but the people. While increasing the profit of people that despise you. in retrospect enlisting was a crappy idea, the US should not have invaded Iraq and I have a strong suspicion our government creates the very people we fight. I have thoughts that what we did over there was caused unnecessary pain and suffering for almost everyone involved.
Another reason enlisting was bad for me was the shitty benefits I received after leaving the military. I used to go to the VA hospital for health care but it seems like everything the doctors did hurt me much more than it helped, it was so bad that for a while I was furious with myself for enlisting because it led to me getting mistreated by the VA healthcare system.
Topic is pretty /pol/ but I'll bite.
Family is the most important to me, and my country second. If something attacks the latter which indirectly impacts the first then I have no problem entering service in DEFENCE only. I think most people don't have a problem with that, just interventionist tier shit.
Thanks to this thread I can clearly see how morally inferior the Us Army is and how their technology carries them on the battlefield.
