Would you rather construct your secret headquarters on an oil rig or an aircraft carrier?

Oil rig desu
>ramp
>slavshit
>>29823250
>>29823258
>how do you want your secret base fham?
>just fuck my shit up
Oil rig, like pic related
kinda missed opportunity to as it is under-armed. It only has M2 HMGs and 40mm AGLs for defence. It should have at least a 57mm naval gun as well as a couple 30mm gun
>>29823287
forgot the fucking pic
Carrier
An oil rig is a sitting duck for missiles, torpedoes and special forces raids
>>29823300
Tbhfamaroo a carrier is a sitting duck for all of those without its battlefam cruising with it.
That being said I'll take a REAL (read: American) carrier as well. Bigger, mobile and especially if it comes with jets and choppers.
>>29823250
...outer heaven?
>>29823325
Carriers can move.
That already makes them a much much worse target.
>>29823250
If I tell you it isn't a secret anymore now is it?
>>29823250
What do you think famalam?
typhoon class sub
>>29823516
Someone post pictures of the Typhoon's pool and officer lounge area
>"MEC Special Forces have launched an attack on the USS Essex Aircraft Carrier. Their intelligence was impeccable, allowing them to coordinate their assault with only a skeleton crew of U.S Navy SEALs onboard. Even so, the SEALs are well equipped and prepared to put up a fierce fight in defense of their ship, affectionately referred as "The Iron Gator". This close quarters fight inside the halls of the carrier will be won by the team working as coordinated squads and practicing superior infantry tactics."

fuck, way to long since a played BF2
>>29823578
This
I don't need to be Big Boss
I want to be a James Bond villain
>>29823558
My choice as well, senpai: an Akula-class submarine.
>bonus points for making it seem like my secret base is the surface vessel which my submarine maintains station beneath
>>29823572
>the few maps that feature the Apache and the mi-28
Special Forces and Armored Fury were underrated.
Operation harvest was fun
>Not wanting it in a volcano or floating skybase.

>>29824704
>...Where do the planes go to not drown?
>>29824741
Do you not see the elevator the B2 is sitting on?
>>29824704
Neat, but a catapult would be better.
>>29824704
I'll take an operationally-proven design, family.
>>29824704
The japs beat you to it
>>29823250
How about a tanker or a cargo ship? Clearly, it has to be subtle and mobile.
>>29824704
>ramp
>>29823344
>Carriers can move
So can most oil rigs.
>>29825450
I would paint it flesh-colored, with a nipple.
Oil rig for full Big Boss.
>>29823250
Neither. Go full roaming island chain made from garbage. A homeless guy can do it on a scavenger budget. Imagine what can be done with purpose?
Mulitiple island cells linked by flexible bridge cables.
Some islands built around barges converted to work shops.
Boats hidden between islands under tree canopy.
Plant based innawoods islands to raise animals and crops, blocks spy satellites/drones.
Seacrete (floating concrete slabs) bases wave break/barrier wall islands.
Sand covered beach platforms.
All modular and constantly shifting. You now have an island chain that can be steered roughly with fishing boats or built in engines. It can change formation going from a clumped blob to a long string with wave break islands up front facing a storm, or can be broken into multiple clusters separating and recombining later.
Hard to target and sink something like this directly just specific spots that may not be in the same place twice. You have to guess where the command center could be and when it would be there. Good luck invading a living labyrinth which is controlled by the natives.
"Were being raided! Sound the alarm!"
Every section breaks loose and starts spinning in circles. Seals find themselves now operating in a jungle carousel being sniped at from every angle with each revolution. Then some ballast is dropped and the jungle flips over in 25 foot round sections randomly.
I want a deep underground base, like absurdly deep. And the upper levels are laid out like a maze.
>>29825450
>oli rig built on two subs
>>29826029
just go with an underground coal mine. some of those fucks go kilometer down.
>>29823250
Multiple oil rigs connected together hosting airfields, berthing for ships from the smallest perimeter patrol boats to the largest supertanker, VLS bays hosting thousands of interceptor and strike missiles, a marine base, sub pens, and a McDonald's.
>>29823250
>seaworld
>ramp
The choice is obvious...
>>29826488
who would want to live kilometers under the earth, with the danger of being somehow trapped? without fresh air or sun?
living in the middle of the fucking ocean is far superior, safer and nicer
>>29823344
More visibility though and maintenance.
>>29826713
>fresh air
>the sun
>implying I need such things
>>29824704
Why not just make a submarine that can fly too ?
>>29827401
You must work for the pentagon.
>>29823250
>Would you rather construct your secret headquarters on an oil rig or an aircraft carrier?
neither,
would build a goddamn nuclear submarine
you know, something slightly obvious to those pesky superheros
>>29823250
Neither! I'll link about a hundred of these together and nothing will be able to stop me!
>>29828904
Real talk, even though the bicycle path is fucking stupid and the boat looks like an iron, those domes look comfy as fuck.
>>29828951
It does, at least until the waves kick up.
>>29824704
>elevator on takeoff/landing strip

>>29828904
Are those mailboxes?
Why?

so mother base or arsenal gear?
