Reminds me of the RK-series Finnish rifles. Probably nice, but the Russian army's probably not going to upgrade very soon.
Neat upgrades. Interesting that Russia is continuing to go with the massive muzzle brakes. The guns seem excellent to shoot but NVG are so common now it seems really debilitating in a gunfight.
A balanced recoil system with a hybrid brake/flash hider is the way to go.
>Let us modernizing the AK!
Cool, how 'bout that safety lever?
>NO! SAFETY LEVER MUST REMAIN SAME FOREVER!

Ak-12 had a modernized safety selector. This is Kalashnikov Concern throwing various upgrades around while praying for a cash infusion. It's a non issue in either case desu.
Russia has great designers obviously if they were able to come up with guns like the AN-94, AEK-971, etc. They just need to find buyers.
Ironically, putting these designs on the US market would be profitable and would probably offer more feedback than government testing ever could. It's a shame we'll never see many of these designs.

Yup.
Really dig the pistol grip on that one, btw.

It'll probably work with other nations interested in modernizing, private security contractors, or government backed militias if they have the budget.
I want one of those buffer tube adapters.

I honestly like that feature on my AK. If the gun malfunctions and fires with the safety on it can't fire again because it can't chamber a new round. Considering I've had that actually happen before (fucking shepard's hook) I like it a lot.

The 400 series is basically a rebranding of their modernization kit for the AK74M. They're seriously considering this as a cheaper alternative to the AK-12

Why do you keep posting this shitty shop
yeah the question is who's gonna buy it. the troops will be issued ak-12 and foreign market is closed to kalashnikov anyway. the sanctions will stay in place for decades

See: >>29813711
They're basically modernization kits for regular AKs
>>29813390
an94 was a unreliable piece of shit built around an useless feature that turned out to be a gimmic.
Rus gun designers are mediocre, ak47 was the last real success they had

First time I've posted it since I copied it 2 months ago. Didn't even know it was one.

Most innovations are dead ends. Big deal. The AK is just an M1 Garand anyway.
