I'll confess to being a flare gun fanboy. The different styles over the years fascinate me.
I found two pictures of what is supposed to be a Russian flare gun that converts to a single shot shotgun. I haven't been able to learn anything else about it.
Does anyone know what type of flare gun this is? And if it's available in the U.S.?
Pic 1 of 2.

It's airshit in the pic, like I said, but considering that it is not classified as a pistol nor a rifle, and isn't chambered for any shotgun cartridge, they can sit on my dick and spin if they have an issue.

There's a reason I don't have any photos of it attached to real rifles though...
>>
>>29789156
It's a Russian shotgun made from old flareguns, they're super cheap and popular with gangsters. They can be used either as flareguns or shotguns. Not at the same time.

Translated: underage
>12 ga flaregun
12 gauge flares exist as do 12 gauge flareguns. The vast majority of flare guns are 26.5mm flareguns so you can put in an insert designed to fire 12ga flares and fire a 12gauge round out of them. Illegal SBS in its default configuration but still a shotgun
>>
>>29789178
I like it,anon.
>>
>>29790628
Your translation is a little off. I'm 46.
And it's not a conversion from 26.5 mm to 12 gauge flare,it's a conversion to a single shot shotgun. Thanks for the bump, though.

There's several different calibers available on bud k. You can buy the flare gun and insert for about $120.00

>>

You will not, because it has a rifled barrel. ATFE considers it to be you manufacturing a firearm, so as long as you're not prohibited from owning guns, you're good. The exception to that would be if you put a smoothbore barrel into it. At that point it's considered an sbs or DD.
I just stick with the .45lc/.22

What are your plans? Just flares? Gow with whatever appeals to you.
Will you get an insert to use it as a pistol? Go with a steel one. The Polish ones are probably the cheapest, but some of the German and French ones have style.

On the 4th of July, yes. But I take one camping with me. A couple flares for emergency signaling, and .45lc/.410 pdx shells in case of trouble coming into the campsite at night.
The .410 birdshot makes for a decent snake gun. But mostly it's just a back yard toy. One flare gun with 4 adapters can make for a fun afternoon.

It can kill as a flare gun. The flare can penetrate the interior doors of a house. It can kill harder firing a bullet.

That's just a shotgun.
Not a flaregun at all, although I'm unsure if they have 23mm flares.
It's a OФ-93 (RP-93) single shot in 23mm, same as the KS-23 shotgun.

Here's a little info on them, but you won't be finding one is the US, as it's a DD or SBS and can't be imported as it has no "sporting purpose".

Just so people know, CA considers those flare gun inserts illegal. They have them separately classified as 'destructive devices' in CA, because somehow flare gun crime was a big thing? I don't know, CA is fucking dildos and make anything fun illegal.

>>29796989
Also illegal in CA to fire off a flare even on the 4th without it being an emergency. Buddy fired one off on the fourth once in the middle of a bunch of fireworks going off and the cops came and started shaking people down looking for the flare gun.

I have a Geco 26.5mm flare gun with a .45/.410 insert. It's not the worst possible thing for a survival kit critter-getter or last-ditch pirate gun. It is hella slow to reload of course, you have to remove the insert and rod the barrel to remove the casing then replace the insert, load, lock, cock and fire. No sites means you're aiming instinctively, mine shoots fairly low. .410 pistol ammo packs a reasonable wallop, never tried .45 colt since it's expensive and accuracy is likely to be dildos for the tiny amount of rifling and no sites.

This is a Hebel. It werfs flares.

Also it came with a sleeve that lets you shoot 12mm shotshell (see pic related, the 12 gauge is for scale. It's like a shorter .410 - which would probably fit too).

Sights were sculpted on it out of epoxy by previous bubba owner. He used to shoot .45 calibers lead balls stuffed in .44 magnum shells with black powder.

And that's how he managed to have a barely legal "handgun" in France.

Seems the supply dried up, and all on the secondary market are way overpriced.

You'll have to specifically search "Yugo M57 flare gun" or similar.
They constantly reused designations.

Those are .22s, and the RP is definitely DD sized.
