Post Lebanon related pics, /k/

Father just died, want to relive some memories in our old shitheap of a country.

I remember when I was a kid, my brothers and I used to talk to the soilders around town and ask them for a spare bullet. We had a small collection, not much variance in what we had but it was the coolest shit as a 7 year old.

First time I ever used a gun was when one of my dad let me use his defense rifle. (completely forgot what it was, got stolen when our house was looted) Him and my grandfather watched me shoot peices of wood all day.

Post dad stories too, if you got em.

Sounds like an interesting time for you.
Quite a few Lebanese came to Australia as a result of the conflict.

Sure was. Everybody wanted out.

I've heard we caused a big surge in gamg violence down under, and I heard you guys gave us a funny nickname, it was either Lebos or Lebabos, I forget.

Either of those hold any truth?

Sorry for your loss, Anon. I first learned to use a gun when I shot my dad's .22 rifle in a peaceful orange orchard in Florida. I can't imagine learning that in a city where every street was owned by a different militia. How did your father protect your family?

Yeah, there were some issues with Lebanese gangs in and around certain areas of Sydney.

Lebs is what I've heard you guys called (and call yourselves sometimes).

Thanks anon, that sounds like a great first introduction to shooting.

As for protection, our main concern was bombings, infantry rarely showed up, and they were never in large numbers, so the town never had much of an issue. We just went to the nearest shelter if shit went south, and most of the time people were out of house and home, we got lucky with the looting.

Lol

Even when we leave out country, arabs seem to stir up trouble. We sure are a rowdy bunch.

My father was in the Bundeswehr (West German) most his life. Came to Canada to raise a family with my mother because he thought life would be better if he could get away from the wall. He just wanted a peaceful life and for us to be raised safe. Somewhere that if the Russians crossed the wall he knew his family wasn't going to be in immediate danger. For a bit in the 90's he wished that he would've stayed you know? That if he hadn't been so paranoid maybe he'd still be living in Germany, never got to see the country whole but, yeah. Passed away a while ago while I was overseas in Assholistan.

I guess in the end, he was right to leave Europe. It just wouldn't have been the Russians he'd have ended up having to keep his family safe from though.

What vest is this?

My father felt the same way. Even with all the shit that went down after the civil war, he told me he felt like he "abandoned himself and his country".

That is an IDF Ephod pattern vest, proably manufactured by Zahal. Many of the warring actions made their own versions, and its still popular with Hezbollah and the SAA.
