How many men with AR-15 would be required to take and hold Area 51 for long enough to determine its secrets? I think as few as 15 guys could do it.

They'd probably delight in the opportunity to try out their freaky and weird new weapons on you and your band of militiamen.
>>
Well they use it for testing of experimental aircraft, so you'd have to deal with fighter jets and other stuff coming after you
>>
>>29770172

They respond with pickup trucks not jets. I doubt they have pilots ready to go. The biggest issue to me is getting access to the elevator to get into the subterranean level. Shit probably has a rotating hallway like the federal reserve.

you wouldn't get within a mile without them knowing. they'd be ready

I don't think you understand, it's something physically present.

I'm not saying that they don't have security. I'm saying the airfield doesn't have the capability to scramble fighter aircraft. That's a very specific capability that only certain air bases have.

Ignoring the fact that there's probably nothing there
And besides the treason/terrorism thing
And assuming you put the operation together without getting banned
And you don't get thermally identified and fried with lasers
you RPG and grenade the hangars and poison and snipe the personnel
Your army has something heavy enough to hold off the external response teams
You have enough operators to have a bloodbath down unnaground
You have enough explosives to bypass whatever security measures are in there
You survive whatever chemicals they release innatunnels
You discover the F-35D
It's covered in black radar absorbing material making it two times as stealthy, three times as expensive, and four times as glitchy
You discover the M1A3
Internal temperature is 150 degrees
They patched up the bottom to make it ied resistant but it can still be blown up by RPGs when dumb Saudis operate it
You wonder why you came

If a base doesn't host QRF jets they won't have ammo lying around to get a plane up and flying in anything less than an hour if they are really switched on. I've worked on plenty of RAF bases that have no munitions on them at all because they don't host the aircraft that use them and will never need them. An experimental AFB like groom lake won't keep piles of bombs and missiles lying around just in case

I figure you'd need something a bit more potent than AR-15's to storm really any base.

To storm Ayylmao 51, I reckon you'd want mortars, and HMG's, and DMR's, and Specialized Anti-Tank Weaponry and SAM's (lots) and AFV's, and a whole fuck tonne of guys.

That being said, that's assuming you want to capture the base and not just park an artillery battery somewhere within range and drop 155 on them until they're gone forever.

USAF isn't RAF. We keep weapons at missile muns for training, storage and mobility that are hosted at any base with fighters or attack planes. Hell even lackland has missile muns.

>What's so special about this helicopter?

Could be a custom model with only a handful being manufactured for SOF?

I mean, not everything has to be mass produced! Not even average products!
