the most restrictive thing might be a 12 months time you have to prove being in a shooting-club. then you have to prove you shot regularly in that time. then you have to prove you are able to handle a gun. then you have to prove you have a safe to store a gun. and finally you don't get it if you are an ex-inmate for example. so yes, there are lots of countries where it is easier but it's not exactly impossible.

depends on the country. in poland we can buy and carry blank guns (zoraki seems popular), gas pistols, some shit stuff firing rubber bullets, airguns < 17 Joules and black powder guns made before 1885 or replicas of them, without a license.
out of those options black powder guns seem to offer the most protection for me, simply because they can actually kill whoever tries to attack me. our law does allow to carry them, even concealed, even loaded, though not on public transport for some reason.
to make our lives miserable, our politicians decided that you can legally possess black powder, but to actually buy it for your funs in the first place you need fucking european firearms pass. or you need to find a "friend" who will give you some as a "gift".
to obtain a license for legal guns, you either need to prove you're knowledgable weapons collector (there's a fucking state test), or become a member of a shooting club. it takes literally months to obtain the license and it costs as much as a gun. your basic glock costs more than a month's worth of salary.
though you can get mosins failry cheap.
however if you shoot someone in self-defense you're basically fucked and will likely go to jail, because your attacker has more fucking rights than you do.

Stun guns are the most worthless self-defense items you could find. There is a reason why they aren't banned anywhere, its because they are fucking useless.
Go ahead, buy one, preferabbly with 3 or 4 batteries as they are the most powerful, and use it on yourself, you'll only feel a slight tickling. Muhammed might die of laughter when he sees one, but most likely you are going to get beheaded because you'll only make him even more angry.
As for pepper spray, be carreful, most brands are worthless. Either get Fox Lab mean green or Sabre defense Red. Everything else is a waste of time. Even though those are effective, it still depends on many factors, make sure to hit the eyes, nose and mouth, I'd say stream is better than fog because you can aim more accurately and further away, but it requires more self control. And it doesn't act immediately, and some people are immune.
Nah, the only thing I could recommend is that you calmly wait to get raped and killed by rapefugees.

Get Peppergel for use outdoors and/or foam for indoors.
Foam makes less splashes and wont fuck up people you dont want to fuck up indoors but its vulnerable to wind. Gel is not vulnerable to wind.
I have first hand experience with First Defense MK-4 against mobs of antifa.
It works works great and i can only recommend it for EDC.
For home defense i recommend a at least 400ml bottle of foam/gel, a blank gun loaded with Pepper rounds (load a normal blank as first round for a shot in the air to scare off pussys) and a baseball baton.

First you have to learn that a stun gun isn't only defined by its voltage, and even then, the higher the voltage isn't necessarily better. I found 170kV, and a 15Hz frequency, to be the exact sweet spot that causes the maximum amount of pain and paralyzes an individual properly.
Once paralyzed, beat the shit out of him. Problem solved. You don't just use a stun gun and then run away, you finish him first, otherwise it's pointless. Unless that person is drunk or high, in which case that person will just drop to the ground and remain stunned for a couple minutes.

The problem with stun guns is that they take a couple seconds to work. Dropped this big George Foreman lookin' blackamoor with one, years ago, when I was working club security. He managed to take it long enough to unleash a whistling left hook. Put him down and the cops hauled him off, but I was seeing double the rest of the night.
If you use one for Home Defense, get the baton types. That way you get a little reach, and if the stun unit fails you can beat them to death.
