What are some clothes you'd operate in? I heard Deluth trading co makes the God tier cargo pants, and people prefer them over shit like 5.11 Stryke pants.

Are knee pads good to have or just a meme?
>>
>>29732369
They are really nice but if it gets over 85 where you live get ready for super sweaty balls. They breathe for shit in the summer.

Good for combat, less useful in SHTF, unless your plan is to form a group and operate everyone else into submission with small unit tactics.

If you live where it's hot, prepare for ball soup.

Something light and breathable, I have these Guide Gear pants from Gander Mt. I got on sale years ago and they're still holding up. Something synthetic.

Rhodie shorts or a skirt. Naked, perhaps.

Damn if you can find them. I just wanted a pair for posterity. Hell, you can't even find fakes.

I like them, if only for the lifetime guarantee

I've gone through several pairs for the price of one now

Internal knee pads, and frankly almost all "built in" knee pads are shit.

External knee pads are indispensable. I can't image how shitty it must have been in WWII to fight in brutal battles without knee pads.

I want my dick and balls fall through my pant leg.

the duluth pants are pretty hot, I really hated working in them during the summer even the lightweight ones had breathing issues.

I swapped to Arcteryx Talos pants for most of my work because I could use the kneepads internally which I found a huge benefit. plus they look like work pants

Honestly? Just regular ol' ripstop BDU or my fancy multicam trousers. They feel like pajamas and have cargo pockets. That's all any operator needs.

Man kneepads make aggressive movement into sweet cake, but they'll always slide down. Always. Not even those old blackhawk neoprenes can stay up without cutting off circulation.
>>
>>29732369
I just wear jeans and flannel shirts for everything. The nice cheap flannel shirts.

If I need to operate, I just throw a rig on over it.

I think a lot of people over think this question.

>>
>>29733291
they did pretty well, only time I really hated them was in 95-100 degree weather but not a whole lot you can do about that. railway shreds other pants pretty quick so I preferred durability I'd probably still use them but I outgrew them

Solid color shirts and jeans

I hear ya bro, best you can do is drink plenty of water and try to get acclimated to the climate; AC just makes things more miserable when you go back out into the heat IMO.

Is it quick drying?
Personally, I found in the heat the stuff that soaks and retains sweet while breathing well works best for staying cool, while quick-drying just sucks for everything other than camping.

>>29733386
no.

Back here, honestly I don't know. I am planning of buying a pair of two soon. But it's the closest thing that I have seen that are rhodie shorts. Maybe you should check on Google to see how it fits.

I think they were fairly quick drying, but again it doesnt get that hot here and usually only lasts a week or so, so I just dealt with it.

The Arcteryx Combat Pants are pretty amazing though, wouldnt wear them for work but low profile operating pants they're great.
>>
>>29733386
I wouldn't waste my time with a concealed plate carrier simply because you're already painting yourself as a combatant with carrying a rifle and the ammo rig.

On a side note, as much as I love the nostalgia factor of your chosen outfit, I personally would go with MOLLE gear simply because of the added benefits of less shit moving against my body when moving. If I've gotta haul ass into cover under fire, the last thing I want happening is that canteen strap getting caught on something. I do love the minimalist approach, however. Less is more.

so, 7/10 would likely operate in provided I can't access more modern gear.

Even if I was in the middle of the desert eww, no.

I've purchased two pairs of "tactical" type pants from Amazon for camping mostly and has to return both due to them being baggy as shit. They looked like god damn snow pants. What are some good pants that have a decent fit? I'm not looking for skinny or slim but something that doesn't look like you have autism if you're under 180 lbs.

Different anon here.

What would you recommend for extended hot weather? Pic related, expecting triple digits and stupid high humidity soon.
>>

Their jeans are God-tier, I wear the flexfit ballroom exclusively, and for the hot weather comment I live in SE Texas, the heat index doesn't get higher than here.
>>
>>29732369
I like knee pads because I have some nerve damage to the skin on one knee. Side effect of a knee operation.

Yeah, but then the plate would cover up your sick shirt.
>>
>>29733518
honestly not to sure, I don't experience the triple digits for anything longer than a couple days usually. if anything I'd look at companies like Patagonia, Columbia, and outdoor research for quality stuff like that.
>>
I have a pair of Columbia Silver ridge pants that I wear hiking and they're pretty alright.
Light enough for summer use and in the winter, with a pair of long-johns underneath,
I've never had a problem with cold or wind.
They're also not baggy as shit so you can wear them around town and not look like an autist.

In that case, you could take the based Vinning approach.

But let's be real... No one really cares about the shirt, lol. If your gear is setup properly and you know what you're doing with it, looking good comes naturally. Form follows function in many cases.

Baseball cap with the team logo of the current state you're operating in.
The key is to blend in, so if you're in Michigan for fuck sake don't wear a Browns cap.
>>
>>29733640
It literally flexes a bit, it's incredibly nice when squatting down or some shit since your ass will flex and give a bit allowing your waist line to sit still.

It's a fucking blessing for IWB CCing

It's not a huge amount at all, you can see in their videos how much it gives, it's not like a weird ass elastic or anything just like 1/4 inch give when you pull it, just enough to make a difference.

They gave it just the right amount of give to not look like your wearing sweatpants or some shit, unless you are looking for it you would never notice.

Or just something neutral and non location specific, like in rural areas were Realtree or Browning hat, I don't know about urban environments though, like a car company or something?

What are some good boots for warmer weather? I have uninsulated leather boots and they still get hot.

I'm a fan of higher ankle boots because I like the support they give.

If you're not trying to be 100% stealth, I like the Oakley Range Cap. Just make sure you keep the support thats inside for the front or the hat will look floppy. It's not for shipping purposes as some tend to think.
>>
>>29732416

I have the firehouse fatigues and while they aren't ideal for summer they're better than I thought. Theyre baggy enough that the fabric isn't that troubling. Think of those full body robes Bedouins wear. They are quite heavy though.

Triple Aught Design pants and shirts. Stop being poor.

the tradecraft shirt is pretty nice but again expensive.
>>
>>29732369
Never get those Duluth pants wet. Yes they have some water resistance but one the get wet it's like wearing concrete pants that never dry.
>>
>>29733254
Velcro is magic. But yeah otherwise you would be looking at rigging up a suspension system.
