Are there any calibers for AR15/10 that are capable of effectively taking down very large game? (grizzle burrs/african shit)

Well, the .223 in the Ar-10 would take down any fowl-beast. While the 5.56 is nothing more than a .22 magnum. The .308 win is ok in the Ar-18. but you should try the 7.62 nato in the Ar-15, that will take down any semi-large rodents.

absolutely any of them, a grizzly doesn't have some insectoid exoskeleton. Every bullet carves several inches of massive internal organ damage, and the grizzly will be dead or dying in seconds unless you're the average /k/ fudd who misses 40 times with a no-recoil rapid fire rifle.

"In this famous photograph by Bruno Engler, Bella Twin is shown with the hide from the world record grizzly bear that she shot in 1953 with a single shot .22 rifle. The question is, what rifle is she holding?

AR-Gun.

458 socom or 50 beowolf would be the best answer. But your not getting more than 200 yards for the shot.

308 in an ar10 will take all North American medium game with no issue.
But for large game or dangerous game i would want a 45 Raptor chambering.

It has 30% more energy at 100 yards than the 50 beowolf.

30-06is often considered the bare minimum for Kodiak/Africa tier manimals.

Having said that, No...not AR15s, but AR10-ishs can, my LMT MWS in 338FED is capable...its just not an AR15.

An AR-10 in .338 Federal will put anything on this continent on its ass. Pretty sure Wilson just put one out.
