Hey /k/, So recently my grandfather just gave me this single giant bullet, and I have no clue what it is.
Can you guys help?
Some old WW2 30.06 round is the smaller one for size reference.
It looks like a 50 cal to me, but I'm not sure.

What's the bottom look like? It's likely a 50 though.
Looks like a .50 to me. Are their not any markings on the head stamp outside the primer?

its a small nuclear warhead. Don't touch the tip or you'll get hypo-cancer

It says "LC90" on the bottom. Pic related.

Lake City 50 BMG, made in 2006

If it was 90 it would be LC on top and 90 the bottom not LC 06

Thanks anon. That's cool, having a 50 cal.
>Time to make a slam rifle for it. Shrapnel for days.

Be a little less retarded. Show us the head stamp, and also give measurements. That damn near ends all speculation to oh man this big thing.
:^)

Is that a marked primer?
Is it a dud or non-firing replica?

Kinda hard to tell, it looks like the primer's been struck, then smoothed/polished over, but that seems like a lot of sealant around the primer, it might be a display round, can't say for certain.

OP here, there's no gunpowder when I shake it, unlike the 30-06.
It's a replica I'm pretty sure.

Very cool! If you feel up for a bit of tinkering, you can make it into a pen if you feel up for it.
