Fucking Trapezoid Sights, how do they work?
>>
It's a fedora Glock

Literally a gun made for people who want a Glock, but they are too much of a special snowflake to buy a Glock
>>
>>29725794
It looks ergonomic af, but I heard they had some early quality control issues, and since they sell in suck low volumes apparently dealers still have defective models in stock.

Personally I think it looks pretty cool, and it's priced right

You mean it's a glock with different controls, better stock trigger meme sights that are still better than ball in a cup.

A custom glock is better than a regular steyr,
But there's not much you can do to a steyr.

So for the money, the steyr is a better glock, due to the fact the glock only gets better with aftermarket stuff.

But let's be real, the Walther ppq is the best for money and is super underrated
>>

Honestly I think Craig used a P99 for a movie or two. From what I hear though the PPQ is comfy as fuck to hold, reliable, and IIRC comes with paddle and traditional mag releases now so you have choice in that regard.

Did it come with it or did you buy aftermarket from Jarvis? I really want one for my P99.
Are PPQ/P99 barrels interchangeable? I know the slides are, though I wouldn't shoot it like that.

Dunno about interchangeability, but mine came with the barrel as is. PPQ M2 Navy. Was on sale on gunbuyer for around $550.

I used to have one. It was alright. The biggest problem of the styer is lack of spare magazines and being able to find a decent holster. Also the sights make it hard for precision shoot but it's decent for man size targets inside 20 yards. Sucks for shooting small things like beer cans or Clay pigeons.

Wow great find. For me it was between the PPQ Navy and P99, but the cheapest PPQ N was on gunbroker for ~$700 so I opted for the DA/SA trigger and decocker for $499. No regrets, all it needed were night sights.

>>
>>29726866
I've always gotten my mags for 15 or less on CDNN. Most of the popular hybrid iwb companies make a holster for the Steyr as well. With the trap sights, I'm solid out to about 30 yards on a comp 22 target or clays. Beyond that with a pistol (sans revolvers) and I should have brought a rifle. Not saying I cant hit over 30 yards, just a bit less consistently.
>>
>>29726866
Wait, why can't you just balance you target on top of the sights?
>>
>>29725794
As an M9A1 owner protip they suck

Spongy trigger, boring reset, slide is just short, doesn't sit inside the frame despite looking similar to a CZ, muzzle flip no better than any competitors
Grip is meh/10

IMO they're a shit

The gun is known for exactly the opposite what you just posted

It has a nice clean trigger, it's reset is short, and the grip is comfy as fuck.

Hickok here, to laugh at you.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7FgNcQ3AQY
>>
>>29727788
Well, the slid is only easy to grab due to aggressive rear serrations. Unless you have the l9, you can't grab the front easily
Trapezoidal sights are memes
The trigger is short, but that doesn't make it good. The reset is short too, but it's not very audible or tactile.

It's a good polymer double stack 9mm that absolutely meets its asking price.

But a ppq is the same price with less meme, better trigger.
>>
>>29726117
Because contrarians with no experience handling the gun say so. If steyr knew how to advertise and the aftermarket bit these things would be pretty common
>>
Had an M40A1, sold it after a year. Loved the ergos, acceptable trigger (amazing for a striker fired gun), but it was unreliable. The striker would fail to cock when cycling intermittently, and it tore up brass, brass shavings would find their way into the striker channel. Every 300 rounds or so the gun would just stop working period, and i would have to take out the striker and dump out the accumulated brass bits, and i would have a literal pile of shavings and chunks fall out of the slide guts.

Steyrs cs is supposed to be top notch, but I sold it rather than send it in because I wanted to consolidate me pistols calibers down to just 45/9mm.

Bought a M40A1 awhile back for a good price, even if I would have preferred he M9A1. Kept it 2 months then got rid of it; .40 is especially snappy out of this gun. Remember kids, never settle for .40S&W, even if the gun is priced to move.
>>
>>29729914
At least Steyr started it as a .40 and brought it down to 9mm instead of the other way around like Glock did.
>>
Got one of those S9A1s. Thing of beauty, egos are dream, could barely tell it was a 9mm. Only issue is i need to get out and shoot it more

Put a Glock or M&P in your hand and look where your fingers line up vs. where your trigger finger lines up. The Steyr tries to address some grip stability issues, as well as allowing you to pronate your grip for more wrist stability. I like the idea.
>>
>>29732359
This. I think part of the reason for my quick follow up shots and accuracy has to do with that fairly aggressive grip angle. When compared to the rest of my pistols, the only one that is as natural for me to shoot both accurately and quickly is my P08.
>>
>>29726526

It can. IGB Austria makes a drop in bull barrel for the .40 that just requires $15 mags from CDNN. They also offer a .357 sig drop in that doesn't even need new magazines. Really for under $700 you'd have both a 9mm and a .40 in the same ergotastic package.
