I'm going to buy my first rifle, a .22LR weapon, shortly.

I'd like to buy some earpro with it : what kind of items would /k/ recommend ?
>>
I recommend buying earplugs and a 22 rifle.
>>
>>29721566
are those fancy electronic headset worth buying ?
>>
>>29721606

Only if you're a tactical mall ninja.
>>
>>29721566
I second this. You can buy big boxes of earplugs super cheap. I opt for them over fancy electronic shit anyday of the week.
>>
>>29721547
>Buying .22lr

Don't add to the ammo shortage son and make the hobby shit for the rest of us. Do the honourable thing and find another hobby and forget shooting.
>>
You don't need earpros for a .22. I don't even use plugs when I shoot my AR15. You only need to wear if you're shooting mag after mag
>>
>>29721729
This guys an idiot
>Reminder: if your ears ring you have permanently damaged your ears.

>Go to sears, get the $2 construction worker earplugs that are connected by a string and have a small carry box.
>>
>>29721703
the fuck?
>>
>>29721794
He's clearly trolling. Look at him spelling "honour".

>when I read it in my mind it sounds like someone saying honouuuuuuuuurrrrr like a retard
>>
>>29721729
> being deaf gives me a tactical advantage
>>
>>29721606
Not if you shoot at indoor ranges, they echo
>>
Howard Leights and Sonic Defenders.
>>
>>29721606
They're THE best $40 you can spend in the shooting world.

>>
>>29721703
Fuck off
>>
>>29721826

It heightens the other senses obviously.
>>
Look for earpro used on flight decks, they're surplus so you can get them fairly cheap
>>
3m tek earpro is what I use, $15 at home depot and they work great.
>>
>>29721855
this
>>
>>29721547
i stock up on earplugs at my uni library. they give them out for free. or you could just spend 10 bucks on a box of like 100 and re use them.

Anyone who says you dont need em for a 22 is retarded. .22 is loud enough to damage your hearing and going deaf at 60 is stupid. Protect your hearing.
>>
>>29721703
.22 isn't that hard to find and it's still super cheap. Just buy online if anything

All of /k/ acts like it's completely ruined shooting .22 for some reason though. There's no other caliber that 30$ will get you a whole day of fun and still have leftovers for beer.

Best earpro
>>
>>29722069
some of us cant afford $1000 earplugs
>>
>>29722207
What about a $20 oil filter? Not that I'd know of such things.
>>
>>29721547
Buy a box of earplugs. The electronic headsets are great for outdoor ranges. Remember, protect your ears. After a while the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

And don't be this guy: >>29721729
>>
>>29722207
>rimfire can
>$1,000
Nice try poorfag. You can easily buy one for under $500 with the tax stamp
>>
>>29722271
300-400 for the stamp last time i checked so you can lick my balls
>>29722244
to purchase an attachment you need a tax stamp or lathe skills which i got.
>>
Surefire ep4s are great in ears.
Peltor tactical 6s are great electronic ears, so long as you aren't using comms equipment (no plug in for radios)

They're $15 and $50 respectively.

Electronic over ears are more comfortable than in ears and because they're active hearing protection, you dont have to take them off to hear shit.
>>
>>29722303
Tax stamp is only $200.
>>
>>29721703
Only a tard cant find cheap 22 today. Dont discourage the hobby, people like you need to fuck off
>>
>>29722271
>>29722303
200 bucks in Texas for a suppressor stamp.
>>
>>29722303
u fucking wot m8? The stamp has always been $200. If you don't know what you're talking about then kindly fuck off
>>
>>29721606
I love mine. I bought a pair of Howard Leight OD Impact Sports electronic muffs. Great. Can hear conversations and shoot guns. What's not to love?

Also, without plugs they give me damn near superhuman hearing.
>>
>>29722069
>>29722346
>>29722375
Jesus you faggots and your semantics. $739 for above can with stamp.

Earplugs still cheaper. You're still virgins
>>
>>29722487
The point is that there are several rimfire suppressors less than $300, making them fairly accessible to the average shooter. No need to be upset just because you can't afford nice things.
>y-you must not have sex then!
Nice liberal logic. Next are you going to comment on our dick size?
>>
>>29722487
You clearly stated "300-400 for the stamp last time i checked so you can lick my balls". You are now changing the wording because you were wrong and people called you out on it. So, in your words, "lick my balls".
