I really like mine.
>>
>>29695371
Ergonomically, they feel great when I shoot them. Not to mention it's a pretty heavy pistol, which counteracts the already light recoil pretty well. I'd probably pick one up for the right price.
>>
>>29695371
The big gimmick is that the slide rides on rails INSIDE the frame rather than outside like most automatics do.

The advantage is less barrel shifting and more accuracy, the downside is that the slide can be a bit hard to grab. Try shooting one. You'll see what I'm talking about. If you don't mind it too much, you'll probably find that in all other respects the pistol is very nice indeed.

Also if you don't feel like paying what they cost or you want one with a different level of QC there are a lot of cheap copies (Tanfoglio, Canik) and a few really nice ones (Sphinx). The IMI Jehrico is also a clone. It's a widely copied design.
>>
Can it full auto with the right ammunition? Like with hollow points? How often do you need to reload it?
>>
>>29695496
>can be a bit hard to grab
this is my least liked thing about the CZ75
like it needs an extra grip area or some shit

>>29695564
you have to use RIP G2 in order to get it to full auto. the recoil from the round splitting apart is what enables it to bump fire. naturally you want to use the 30 round magazines when doing that.
>>
>>29695564
There are CZ-75's that are FA, but they're pretty much unicorns, and you probably don't have the money for one.

not any better or worse than other guns in its market. MAYBE a little more spotty on the quality and you get the special snowflake feeling of not having a glawk brand glawk, but that can also mean the owner has this smug air about him which puts people off.
I like them, its something different to shoot or carry every once and a while and theyre really nice looking IMO. I put them in the same category as my sigs and berettas. Nothing crazy special but slightly special

>MUH "CZECHNOLOGY"

In reality, its a decent gun with a terrible following of autistic neckbeard retards who only bought it because you used to be able to find them for $350 in the used market.

It's common knowledge that czfags are the most rabid and least intelligent fanbase on /k/. If you actually want a DA/SA worth a damn, get a german sig and throw an srt on it.

I've owned 2 SP-01s, and 2 550s. I like them. My first IPSC comp was with an unmodified 75. I did ok. They're accurate and reliable and they look better than any other handgun on the market, in my opinion. I started shooting with then 10 years ago when they weren't as well known, and they've gotten a lot more popular, which is good.

Am I a gun hipster? hm....
>>
>>29700639
You are only a gun hipster if you like them because nobody knows about them and stop when more people do.

I love my CZs and will no matter how popular they get, therefor I am not a hipster.

Glorious Czechnology thread?

My 75B Omega is my favorite pistol and easily the one I shoot best with. Fell in love with it the first time I fired it.

Is there a difference in pull of the omega versus the normal trigger? I didn't know about the omega when I bought my 75b and now I wonder if I could have saved a few bucks.

>>
>>29703531
I honestly don't know, I haven't shot the regular non-Omega version and my other CZ's all have decockers. I will say it's slightly smoother than the decockers, but that's a given and generally I'm not really that particular when it comes to the finer points of triggers...as long as it's not an M&Pc, I probably like the trigger. Omega is supposed to be more robust though with a more solid design and fewer moving bits.

>>29703531

A base cz75 used to cost around 450 bucks. They used to be a bargain. That was their big selling point.

The Glock is polymer, lighter, better quality, and overall a better buy now that their at the same price.

It's pretty good. They vary in quality some but overall are pretty solid. Comfy as fuck, pretty accurate, and quite a few variations.

They could have a little better cosmetic finishes with less machine marks and a nicer finish, but the issues are nowhere near as bad as most people make it out to be.

My biggest gripe about CZ is paying $640 for a pistol and the machining marks on the slide...

Fuck it looks like someone took the slide off the gun and found themselves a nice thick and heavy knife... and just smacked the fuck out of the underside of it.

Like the gun shoots amazing and is totally worth the price but for $640 you think they would pay someone for 10 minutes of work to make the slide not look like someone took out their temper tantrum on it.

I feel so American when I complain about the fact that there are machining marks on the parts where it doesn't actually affect performance to let chatter marks run wild but Jesus... sometimes I feel like they could have put a little effort in.

Omega trigger: smoother single-action, stiffer double-action.

The double action is still good for a DA/SA gun so the improvement in the SA is totally worth the sacrifice in DA.

I don't have any info on the reliability of the Omega system over the traditional system so until I hear that the Omega system breaks before the traditional system I think it is fine to use.
>>
>>29704276
You can still get CZ75s for $450 ish

>That was their big selling point.
I thought the actual features of the gun was it's selling point.

Stupid me not realizing that my only basis or buying a firearm is it's cost in relation to a gun I don't like.

>>29703839
>>29703531

>The omega is for retards. No one gets them but retards.

Omegas are supposedly more durable triggers and simpler to take in and out of the frame.

I did not notice a big difference between the 75b and the Omega dry firing them next to each other at the gun shop.

You can also switch back and forth between safety and decocker on the Omega if that interests you.

My opinion on the gun itself is that it's pretty good. Yeah, it's forged, which a lot of people are uncomfortable with BUT the process is very advanced, not counting the unfortunate pre-b models that had frames manufactured abroad.

Here's a tour of the facility, though of a slightly older date https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jUluiJSE1k

Also our gunsmiths have to be college educated in order to be legally licensed.

>Yeah, it's forged, which a lot of people are uncomfortable with BUT the process is very advanced, not counting the unfortunate pre-b models that had frames manufactured abroad.
Did you mean to say cast? You're right, CZ's investment castings - like Ruger's - are very good quality. Zero issues there. I'd be much more wary of MIM, which much more expensive pistols like SIG and HK use plenty of - but CZ none. Inexplicably, none of the morons who bitch about investment casting in CZ and Ruger threads seem to know or give a single fuck about that though. It's all
