What is on the front of the tank turret?
A new type of ERA?
ERA mock up to represent a T-72B1?

What's the point if a Tandem charge is used?
There are also barrels on the back of this tank?
T-72 mock up? In a
last one guys.
I'm honestly curious about this.
It's an M1A1 SA, the 'ERA' and barrels are something I have never seen before.

is the M1A2 Better? I see it doesn't have that remote TC thermal optic. What makes it SA?
>The squadron redeployed to Fort Irwin on 22 January 2006 where it resumed its opposing forces mission for the National Training Center. During its deployment, the Nevada Army National Guard's 1st Squadron, 221st Cavalry, the 11th's official roundout unit and current ARS squadron, took over the duty of OPFOR.

Thought the ERA is part of tusk
>>29589693
The immediate giveaway is the Stabilized Commanders Remote Weapon Station, loaders transparent gunshield and the APU in the bustle rack.
>>29589720
TUSK's ERA replaces the hull skirts.
>>29589709
thanks for pointing this out.
I always had a dream of seeing an M1A2 SEP 2 Abrams with Kontak-5 ERA welded to the front of the turret.
>>29589146
Why can't they buy real T-72?
>>29591900
At JRTC they have an old M113 that they welded a "turret" to and has a PVC pipe for a barrel to emulate a T80.

>Лoдкa
Every fucking time.
>>29589427
It's better than nothing. After all, a tank would not face a tandem warhead everytime.
>>29589427
What's the point of having infantry if a HEAT is used?
>>29589146
It's just a VISMOD to make it "look" like a T-80 for NTC and Hohenfels Rotations.. They don't use them anymore, it was a stopgap replacement for the old Sheridan OSV (OPFOR Surrogate Vehicle) then they got the retarded M113 T-80 OSV they use there now.
