I'm looking for the absolute best Grease/oil to prevent wear on my firearms.

I don't care if it's a gun/automotive grease I want the BEST, theres a lot of good products but obviously factually one must preform the best.

Ask for their MIL-L-63460 test results.

Ask for the MSDS sheet and the Aberdeen Proving Ground documentation showing improvement over CLP.

Ask for Rust Resistance (ASTM D-665), Corrosion (ASTM-B-117) and Kinematics Viscosity (ASTM D445) test results

I have yet to see a gun oil that actually seals the bottle, the weapon shield guy is a tribologist vs some guy in his garage mixing vegetable oils together (hi fireclean)

Are you trying to say if the U.S military doesnt say it's good its no good? by asking for a MIL test, If so You don't need to clean your ar or lube it, its self cleaning and doesnt need any oil.

Weapon shield has a cage code (military Supply inventory number) and can be ordered by units.

In case you didn't know, the military hasn't had a standard issue lubricant for over 40 years, each unit's supply clerk can order anything that has a cage code.

Video commercials don't trump results from a third party testing lab, including but not limited to military testing labs.

Slip 2000 has third party lab results showing a Falex Pin and Vee Block (ASTM D3233) Capacity of 750 pounds.

>somehow proves it's better than Slip 2000

I have absolutely nothing against Weapon Shield as a lube, but I don't like the smell, and it's not as easy to get as ordering it off Amazon while being nonexistent at my LGS.

Calling Slip 2000 "INFERIOR!" because of one questionable YouTube video is just sketchy.

Damn thats impressive.

My grandad always used turtle wax and swore by it. No lie i promise and it works. I personally just keep my guns well oiled with wd40 since im poor white trash. Works tho i live on the coast on the water and not a spot of rust on any of them.

I have no idea why you'd think that.

Just buy some fucking CLP or something and stop getting your autism in a twist over it.

You posted .Gov "tests" again, about as trustworthy and valid as well....nothing.

Why did slip fail the Falex wear test in comparison to weapon shield?

Because it does not lubricate and prevent wear as good as weapon shield.
>>
>>29580226

Because he's right?

Of every lubricant in the world one will be better then the rest by some margin, or are you trying to say that they all preform exactly the same and differences in products don't exist?

at what?

>or are you trying to say that they all preform exactly the same and differences in products don't exist?
different chemicals have different properties, and different pros and cons

It's like saying "one car must objectively be the best"

It's stupid and autistic.
>>
Guns are low pressure, and don't have anywhere close to the forces of a automobile, you will never feel or see a difference in oils nor gain the advantage over one or the other.

A $2 can of grease is all you need, but if you want to pay $15 for a oz of the same thing in a small tube by all means go ahead.
>>
>>29580051
Well by what metric are we calling it "best?"
Is it best because of lubrication? Corrosion resistance? Cost? Availability? Heat resistance?
I use coconut oil. Its what Frog lube is made of. Its cheap, it works well enough that I dont have malfunctions and its a food if I need it to be.
>>
>>29580246

There's a reason everyone in the world stopped using grease in firearms once automatic firearms came into existence.
It slows down the action and causes malfunctions.

The swiss use Grease to clean and lube.

I wonder if a light coat of wax would work? It always seemed to helo my skateboard slide down rails when I would grind. It would melt when the shooting started adding to lubrication.....hmmmm

Not in their sigs they don't.

Patent that shit ASAP and sell it for $40 a oz
>>
>>29580274

The swiss military uses Waffenfett grease to clean and lube, always have and still do.
>>
>>29580239

I missed that, ok cool a third party test thats always good and usually unbiased.

But the slip failed and weapon shield did not, that is because weapon shield works better.

That grease doesn't do much of anything as far as cleaning.
It only lubricates, and it's better suited to bolt action rifles.
