This is my most recent purchase. It's a Smith and Wesson 1006. It's really accurate, packs a real punch and has a great single action trigger with the shortest reset I've ever felt.

My first Arsenal. Really nothing unique about it but I'm pretty excited to get out to the range.
>>
>>29572676
Hell yeah I love me some 3rd gen smiths. Reset is overrated though, I never understand why people judge a trigger on it. How much did you pay?

am I the only one who hates those grips on a 1911? They look like a bad photo shop. They sort of fuck with my eyes
>>
>>29572599
9mm 1911s are my guilt pleasure. How do you like yours? I havent bought my own yet but am looking
>>
>>29573136
They make them solid colors, but I don't particularly care for the overly aggressive patterns like these, they're not very comfortable after shooting a bit. I do have some VZ grips on my 92 (like what WC uses) and they're much more comfortable and still very grippy.
>>
>>29573167
Just got it haven't shot it yet. Seems pretty well put together, its tighter than a 12 year old.

>>29573136
I think you are.
>>
>>29572676
Nice. I want a 4506, but I'd take that, too...

Removing the plastic bakail grips of my ij70 makarov for the thicker plastic pierce grips, getting a nice holster for it, and truglo fiber sights for my shotgun

its pretty decent, nothing truly WOW! though
>>

I shot USPSA with it for about 6 months, its just not as fun as irons.
>>29575839
I shoot faster and more accurately with irons. looks cool though.

Yes. I showed the /k/ik chat. I bought this Mauser, traded the Mauser for the tokarev, went home happy.

>>29575854
I mean groupings.
>>
>>29575878
See this is why I'm saying you're doing it wrong. It's not magic but it's absolutely faster than irons on both first shot and follow up once you get used to it. It's not for same holing paper but on steel it's crazy quick.
>>
>>29576345
Try using something other than glock sights, black rears with red fibers are just as fast.
>>
>>29576345
The follow up shots are similar, but the first shot is always quicker with irons, it's just natural.
>>
>>29575822
Which one did you wind up going with? Been looking to replace the trigger as well.

>>

Jelly friendo?
>>
>>29572711
Don't get me wrong, the trigger on it is really nice in general, I just noticed the reset on it especially. It was $1,000 with three mags, 250 rounds of hollow points, and two holsters.

>I put whipped cream in this burrito I bet you're real fucking salty right now huh?
>>
>>29578853
Thats a pretty good deal man, congrats. I never seem to catch them on armslist for less than list price of $1400.
>>
>>29578896
the fuck does that mean jamal
>>
>>29578896
You mean you don't? What kind of fucking backwards ass motherfucker are you
>>
I ordered a new kit to build an AK.

Meh.
>>
>>29579359
Ironically enough I found mine on my local Armslist. I had a feeling it was a good deal so I jumped on it. I didn't even really want a 10mm, I just felt like I would be kicking myself if I didn't buy it.
>>
>>29579526
Theyre easily the most valuable of the 3rd gens.
>>
>>29572599
Too lazy to post pictures, but I picked up an FNS-40 as a 21st birthday present to myself. On that topic, does anyone know a good gunsmith that mills slide for jpoint mrds sights and is also willing to work with the FNS series of handguns?

a Factory Second RAS for $486, I'm interested in seeing how it holds out.
>>
>>29579565
I did a little bit of research before I bought it and I thought with a production number of less than 27,000 I'd at least have a somewhat of a collector's piece.
>>
>>29579602

I've shot an m&p. I prefer the ergos on the fn and think it's worth paying the $200 to get it milled. The only issue is finding someone who will do it. I've found people who advertise that they mill for j-points, and I've found people who mill fns-40's for rmrs. The problem is finding someone who will perform the unholy combination of the two that I want done for non-ridiculous prices.
