dude on the left looks fat as shit
Honestly I've always wanted this to happen to me without the rescue part. As long as I got a sharp knife and shoes. Living off the land in a sweet tropical location, completely deserted. Sounds awesome to me.

> very little food
> very little fresh water
> thorns/broken coral/sharp limestone everywhere
> bright tropical sun
> tropical heat
> tropical insects
S... sounds like a great time, anon.

These islands are deserted for a reason. The men in the story were only stuck there for like three days. They're very lucky that the plane, a plan specifically designed with lots of sensors pointing downward, happened to pass by when it did.

I'll be you order salad instead of steak for dinner.

That's Hugo. The other one is Sawyer.

cannibal bears?

Everything I've read about such islands makes them sound like shit.
Food runs out very quickly and fishing is not as easy as it seems.

Fishing is outright shit on those islands. You know how islands have that beautiful clear light blue water? That's because there's no algae or other microorganisms in it. Great for swimming. Shit for the ecology and food chain. There's often very little in the way of edible fish that you can catch on these sorts of tropical islands.
I got a crash course on this recently from my partner when we were snorkeling. BS in marine bio, studied on an island for four months, etc.
