Alright /k/, I've been eyeballing the SPHINX SDP compact at my LGS and feel and almost Christopher Walken-esqe NEED to get one.
Convince me not to buy one, and instead make a more reasonable purchase. Like maybe a CZ P01, Tanfoglio Compact, even a TriStar T-100, or Jericho 941.
I'd plan on using it for weekly plinking and likely as my daily carry. What do /k/? What do...

Yeah, the DA/SA trigger on pretty much all CZ type pistols are hit and miss. But nothing that some springs and polishing can't fix. It's one of the reasons I was considering the tanfoglio line since they have a single action trigger set I could drop in if I really wanted.

I recently bought a P01 and love it. The DA trigger pull is heavy but the half cocked position (where it decocks to) isn't that bad at all. It's a fuckin awesome gun and just makes me feel warm inside when I hold it. Compared to my polymer pistols, the cz just feels like how a pistol should feel like.

Thanks everyone. I needed to hear that negative reinforcement. Gonna grab a P01 and use it as a testbed for getting familiar with CZ systems and tuning them. Props to anon who mentioned Cajun Gun Works, looks like they make everything you could want parts wise. I'll have to research them further.
