German anon here, with still around 5~ months to go before I finally get my weapon permit I'm currently thinking about what exactly to buy. I plan to sign up for almost everything possible solely to have access to a broader variety of choices.

So far I plan to get an HK SL - 8 and a side arm. Still undecided on the side arm.

Could anyone tell me if there's a reason not to go for the HK SL-8 in my current position, if there's better choices around and recommend a decent side arm?
>>
i've heard nothing but good things about the sl-8. the only downside is the pricetag
>>
>>29547391
So it's a solid choice? From everything I've read so far it seems to be and the price tags are fairly high here in general.

Was mostly curious about some reasons not to.

only reasons not to get it would prolly be the fact that you can get a decent AR-15 for cheaper, and have a lot more + cheaper after-market parts. Not to mention it'd be a bit lighter weapon.

Of course if you want to cosplay your local military with Flecktarn + that G36 wannabe, then obviously it's the best choice to go with.

Rifle : AR15 as close to milspec as possible
Handgun : Glock 19

You WILL regret any other choice, believe me.
>>
>>29547466
I know the game in question but now you're just confusing me man.
>>
>>29547561
Not sure if you can do this in Germany but in the US, people often convert their sl8s to the g36c. mac recently did it and I'm pretty sure he's going to have a video on it soon.
>>
>>29547598
Gotta read up on it, our laws seem to be a huge mess overall with some stuff just being plain absurd. Many things you are allowed to do however as long as you fill out the necessary paperwork in advance and get a permission.
>>
>>29547561

the assault rifle in fear is pretty much just an sl-8 with a drum mag
>>
>>29547466

>tfw your whole squad gets instagibbed and now you're getting chased around the city by your genocidal mother and autistic brother.

F.E.A.R. was the goat back in the day.
>>
>>29547674
And yet that gives me a boner.
>sl8 with non shitty magazines and full auto capability with hopefully a parts beefup.
>>
HK 243 if you have access to it
>>
>>29547674
I really want to shoot an sl8 with a 60 round pmag if it actually does fit.
>>
>>29547862
Nope single stack unless modified like some of the HK club has done for their g36/xm8 conversions.
>>
>>29547373
Man why did HK discontinue the sl8/g36 clones? These guns are pure sex

Why does hk suck so much guys
>>
>>29547373
Why does that think look like a bad VEPR knock-off done in a G36 style? I'd be willing to try it and I'm hopeful it would preform better than both the G36 but I think I'd be more likely to buy a VEPR.

>VEPR look similar
>Accurate enough for civilian use
>Just as reliable as an AK-47
>Much lower pricetag ( around $800-$1000, pic related is about $1250 )
>Beautiful furniture
>Can be made "Tacticool" if one wants; pic related.
>Made by Molot

The downside...
>I don't think it is ambidextrous.
>Side rail for scope causes it to be slightly to the top-left of the rifle ( can attach your own rail )

wrong pic, but pic above is related. Just saw originally intended pic ( see left ) is now on sale so I'm thinking I'll scoop it up while I can.

hk's only interesting gun is the mp5. That and maybe the usp and mk23 but that's it.
>>
>>29547373
Get a mid-class Ar15 for ~1500€, more parts available, better options to customize
If it has to be from HK get the HK243, the real and improved G36 clone

As for handguns, shoot everything you can get your hands on, Glocks are good but the grips aren't for everybody, Sig are pretty sweet but expensive except the 250/320, HKs are also good got a SFP9 myself, 1911 are nice and a historic design
Don't listen to what olds fudds say and make your own choices. Most will tell you to get a 2000€+ race gun (or a slightly cheaper used one), but if you want something tactical looking go for it

I actually found that photo online at some website I couldn't read. That said, hi Senpai! How do you like your AK, she seems like a beauty.
>>
>>29548588
Do you have any experience with Norinco handguns? I'm looking for a budget 4" 1911 and Armscor/RIA or Norinco are the only available options under 600€ here
>>
Cant go wrong with .308, perfect choice for Kebab removal

I quite dig it.
It's a rough and crude Chinese Norinco 56-S "Long Barrel" variant, which I got last summer. Was kind of a poor-fag choice, as I was still a student back then.

While it doesn't do anything exceptionally well, it still shoots straight and eats any kind of ammo I give it. Only real shame is that because of its barrel size and general Norinco's mix of AK47 + AKM elements, it doesn't really support regular bayonets.

>>29548651
>Do you have any experience with Norinco handguns?
I've only finger-fucked some of their CZ-75 clones at a fun-store. My understanding is that there's nothing exactly wrong with them, sometimes they even use the same machinery and blueprints as the real-deal things they copy, but their quality assurance may be a bit dodgy.
>>
>>29547862
Needs a Stanag mag conversion. Stock SL8 use g36 mags.
>>
Deutscher hier. Dude if you like the G36 look up the HK 243 series, your nearer on the original in a lot of aspect instead of this thumbhole stock abortion. Alternative 5.56 semis: hundred different versions of AKs,Ar-15s. I got myself a SIG 551, love it
>>
>>29548685
Now this is a terrible accusation. I am a peaceful person and absolutely NOT worried about recent developements. My extensive knowledge of history tells me this is going to be just great and nothing bad will come out of it.

We will find a peaceful and pluralistic solution similar to the one found in other places such as the Kosovo before Nato intervention.
>>
>>29547448
in Germany, the AR is literally 1.2x more expensive than in the US and with a more limited selection driving prices higher.

1200 euros for an Oberland Arms, more for a Schmeisser (1500+)

1 Euro is about 1.15 USD.
>>
>>29547897
single stack is US only. in Canada and Europe, it's double stack.
>>
>>29548004
>HK discontinue the sl8/g36 clones?
couldn't meet the sporting requirement any more (German law against "exporting miltiary technology" passed in 2009, effective in 2010) so they would have to be built in the US... where there is no tooling at all to make them. so the tools would be imported, a factory set up, et c. for a rifle that never sold that well to begin with (1499-2499 MSRP each)

weapons permits are not welcome in deuschland
