If the carrier is properly hardened, probably pretty hard to drill and tap a hole for the handle... The cutout for the upper would probably be easy...

The reason all the CS weapons (Save for the MP5, MAC-10, and FAMAS eject to the left is because they were originally designed to be rendered on the left of the screen, because the dev who made the models was left handed.
