Which would you rather have?
BMP-1, or BTR-70?
>>

for what purpose?

mobile masturbatorium? the BTR obviously, the extra height means you can arc your ejaculations and make them go further.
>>
>>29519150
The BTR-70 is faster.

Isn't the one on the left amphibious?
>>
>>29520313
they both are dipshit
>>
What ARMA tells me is that the BMP has a big ol cannon that can fuck up a BTR and a lower profile, but the BTR only has a big ol machine gun that can only fuck up infantry and paper thin armor in comparison.

how accurate is ARMA?
>>
>>29519150
The BMP-1 is equipped with Saggers. That's my choice.
>>
>>29519186

Not on all ground, the BMP1"s have very low ground pressure and silhoutte for manuever.
>>
IFV vs APC.
>>
Both are amphibious, BTR70 had lots of engine and drivetrain issues. Would have to pick BMP.
>>
>>29520523
The BTR's 14.5mm gun can penetrate 40mm RHA, 100 meters at 90 degrees. (Panthers lower side armor is 40mm and it had the 5mm side skirt cover it.)

Then it goes down to 30mm at 500 meters and then 20mm at 1000 meters.
>>
>>29519150
that's a tough decision

but probably the BTR-70
but i also like the BMP-1's cannon
>>
>>29519150
Btr-70, wouldnt be able to take the BMP on roads here.
>>
>>29519150
You can only fit in the bmp1 if you are hobbit-sized.
It's cramped as fuck in the troop compartment.
>>
>>29519150
Personally I would pick the BMP because it is cooler
>>
>>29519150
You guys don't really understand how small bmp-1 is. There is not much space inside.
>>
BMP

>tracks
>low profile
>73mm smoothbore
>>
>>29519150
neither, i simply can't afford the fuel consumption.
>>
BTR-70
>>
>>29519150
Better question, BMP2 or BTR80a?
>>
>>29519150
BTR is less of a death trap
>>
All these BMP fags are cobfirmed manlets and fail go realise the gun has shit for depression and would get penned by the KPVT.
>>
I'd rather have the BMP. 73mm gun with a coaxial put and a sagger is quite the nice chunk of firepower.
>>
Which one would be better in an urban scenario? Is the BTR too paper thin?

Both are paper enough so they can resist rifle fire.

But the BMP does have more armor
>>
>>29524244
They are both paper thin.
I believe that the BMP has an all-around 20 mm of armor? The BTR is probably similar or worse.
Honestly,i think the BMP would be more useful in a real war, because it's 73mm gun probably has around....200mm? 250? of penetration at 100 meters, which is enough to penetrate a...let's say T-90 from the sides or from the back, which makes it capable of fighting tanks (it's definitely much faster than an MBT,which could make circling easy),also, the tracks are a big bonus for off-roading. The BTR is faster with a better acceleration and a higher top speed (it has wheels,so it's pretty obvious) but it's gun only has around....40mm's of pen? And that's on a 90 degree perfect angle, which modern vehicles do not have.
All around, the BMP is a better choice.

i remember gunner compartment was cosy enough considering it's the most cramped place in the vehicle. but then again i'm barely higher than 170cm
>>
>>29524401
It fires heat with 280-350 mm of pen, shits crazy for its age
>>
>>29519150
the tracked one that way i can do sick isis donuts

>>29524401
HEAT should have the same pen at any range. The problem is spotting and actually hitting an MBT before it does you.

It fires HEAT not KE you dumb fucker. This isn't WW2 anymore. You could at least update your knowledge of AFV's to include THIS CENTURY.
>>
>>29524401
>>29524991

the BMP has a rail launcher for an ATGM. it's not going to be shooting its shitty little cannon at an MBT.

Arent those 73mm guns inaccurate as fuck? They are in WARGAME, plus I think I remember hearing that in a documentary sometime back
>>
>>29519150
none
I would rather walk
>>
>>29519150
The BTR because it's from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2™.
>>
Which BMP-1? Anything other than the 1P and I'll probably go the BTR.

BMP because of nicer armament.

And because of dat door on the BTR-70.
