I like the look and design, so I got one, and enjoy shooting it. It has its drawbacks, but that's okay. Some people don't like it for those drawbacks, and that's okay too.

Normally you leave the front pin in the lower and just hinge it down out of the way of the bcg; it never has to come completely off the receiver.

Because it's not.
I'm not a fan of the roller-lock system, but if you're willing to put up with it than it's not a bad rifle. It's cheap to keep up and running and the recoil feels good.
