For taper pins, start with a LOT of force. Small taps will only peen the small end over and make it harder to get out. Take your punch (a good one, preferably Starett) and give the pin a solid, sharp smack with a 12oz-ish to 1lbs hammer.

I have 200x 7.62 200gr Speer Hot Cores waiting for some subsonic loads.
I also grabbed 100x 175gr SMK at Green Top when I got the Hot Cores to reload my FGMM cases with. I know the wind plays with it more, but I want to see if the improved trans sonic profile is the real deal.

Had it probably a year now. I haven't shot that rifle a ton, but whenever I do it's just retarded magdumping and fucking around and it's been fine. I wanted a FSB-style front iron for visual reasons (I had a different rail at the time) and didn't want to shell out $60 for a DD version.
It's a cheap sight on a cheap rail on a cheap upper of a cheap rifle. I'm not relying on it in the mountains of AFG or anything, it's just a toy. Shit, the most expensive part of that rifle is probably the tax stamp.
