Favorite war movie go
Mine is probably Apocalypse Now.
Or Tropic Thunder if that counts.

Apocalypse Now is pretty great, but I think Platoon is better.
Apocalypse now is a bit arty, and I kind of get a little bored in a lot of parts.

The only part of Apocalypse Now that I'd rather do without is the French villa part. Really just seemed like a thinly veiled rant about how fucked up America is.
I do like Platoon a lot, tho it seemed a bit campy

Apocalypse Now is not technically a war movie, but its set in a war.
Apocalypse Now is the best film ever made.

The beginning of Saving privat Ryan is obviously one of the best scenes ever made, but the rest of the film is literally trash.
