Is ther anywhere to buy genuine Soviet gear from online?
Everywhere I look, it's all replica or reproduction. I would like to get a Belt A "Lifchik", but I can't seem to find a reliable place to buy one.
Where do you buy buy your Soviet gear from?
Try red-alliance.net. A lot of juicy Russian and east-bloc gear is sold there.

I second this. The majority of the website is airshit talk, but I can't find a bigger den of east-bloc autists anywhere.

The trading section is well worth it. There's lots of EUfags there who can get their hands on shit easier than us burgers can, and the site itself can recommend internet stores.

Haven't personally purchased anything yet but it looks like they've got good inventory.
Anyone have any experience with them?

Can anyone say if Gorka suits are actually good?
I live in a mountainous-desert area (Arizona) and from what I understand thats exactly what the Gorka was made for so is it really any good?

Ive only gone by reviews, but from a technical and design point of view they look really good. I just bought a set today.

nice, i really like that it just looks like standard outdoorsmen wear but should theoretically be military quality.

yeah that was a big selling point for me as well. According to the manifacturer it does not come in oversized sizing. did the measurements myself so i hope it fits me well. Bought it from Russia and im from scandinavia myself.

Yes they are. I have a 3K suit and it's damn near perfect even in cold scandinavian climate. All i have underneath in below -20C is:
Lower body: boxers
Upper body: t-shirt and a british fleece liner jacket
I'm yet to try the suit in above zero temperatures, but i'm rather convinced it will do the job. The suit itself is quite thin, although strong fabric with ripstop reinforcing.
I warmly suggest you get one if you think you'll need one
